It doesn't look like the coil is sitting close to the grommet and I'm wetting them with juice prior to taking a hit off them. without looking at you do them or seeing how you wrap, i can't figure out why you get a burnt taste. you might be making the coils too tight or getting hot spots.. which is most likely the case. try doing microcoils. with 32, probably a 3/4 wrap should do it. on a 1/16" drill bit. if they are silight lose, torch them and squeeze them with tweezers till they look like a flattened spring. then when placing them in, keep the drill bit in place till everything is secured, so the coil sits flush in the center and you can then throw some cotton in from a cotton ball (sterile cotton can be found at cvs and doesn't need to be boiled). hope this helps. Getting 2.0ohms and really solid hits. Thanks for the help guys, I might be more excited than I should be but I figured I was never going to get these to work! controlthebleeding Posted December 9, 2013 Share Posted December 9, 2013 Have any of you guys tried a Kayfun type rba? yes.. i have a russian (basically a kayfun), and a taifun. they both rock. if you want a kayfun i suggest the new kayfun lite plus. eddie, kayfuns and rssts are two different beasts. one is a gennie (mesh/wire) rebuildable while the other is a silica/cotton rebuildable. kayfuns are basically like wicking a single coil dripper. the only thing is you can't run kayfuns (any of them) at low sub ohm because the limited air flow. .9 tops... personally i love my taifun and it runs at 1ohm and is awesome!!!! no need to sub ohm on those. they do the job. as for the OB. i got a bottle a few months back from pip. shit got vaped within a week. it's 7 different creams with a hint of strawberry. it's amazing! and probably gonna be her best to date.. though i still am fixated on Madrina and Derailed. i personally want an AQUA. dual sub ohm with a tank. FTW! If either of you want to get a kayfun, but don't want to spend the money, EHPRO Kayfun 3.1 clones are apparently off the hook. one of the guys at the vape shop got one and its almost just as good, but instead of the 160 price tag, it's only $22. there are several kayfun clones on the market, so make sure you get a ehpro one. if you need help, i know tons of places that do coops for such things. hopefully mine gets here in the next week. also just got this last week: Nemesis polished/nimbus/mortar dt and was lucky enough to get a nice gift in the mail (120ml bottle of madrina FTW). I feel the love. PIP an awesome person.. she's basically family. That's why i rep her so much. Well that and all her juices are good.
