Guest Admin
Murder By Death “Red of Tooth and Claw" LP 180 gram Burgundy vinyl gatefold jackets http://stores.channeladvisor.com/vinylhome/Store/Search.aspx?&Page=1&Sort=1&key=murder%20by%20death Today, we should be receiving copies of the repress of Murder by Death's latest album, "Red of Tooth and Claw". I have always liked Murder by Death, but I think this new album is by far their greatest work to date. I don't recall if I mentioned this before, but to me it sounds like Johnny Cash and Glenn Danzig's DNA were extracted to make a super artist (think Serpentor from GI Joe). Some of the songs are haunting and still beautiful. I just can't stop listening and am so excited to see them soon in Denver. We still have copies of the first press but not very many. Buy this record. It is so absolutely brilliant.

scottheisel
Serpentor was one bad-ass motherfucker, especially in the GI Joe comic books.

Guest baseball
Haha, I always use the Johnny Cash/Glenn Danzig comparison when I'm telling people about MBD too.
monk0nuggets
Man, I love this band, but they really should drop the "We Love Johnny Cash" sound. Get back to being their own band.
steventangent
In Bocca Al Lupo and Red Of Tooth And Claw = 100% better than the first two albums Johnny Cash influence = 100% better than production/vocals by Geoff Rickley and that ratgoof from My Chemical Romance. HOWEVER Nothing = better than guest vocals by William Elliott Whitmore.
monk0nuggets
I still love their first record the best, with their second record a close second. I like their third record, but I don't think it really compares to the first two, and I've only heard a few tracks from the new one still. seafoamgreen
Any word on if you're getting the other new represses (w/ or w/o 7")? Their site says they ship on May 1st. I'd do a package deal for the lot!
