mrrom92
I've got some 78s that go back to 1901/1902 or so. A good amount over a century old. I'd like to own just one record from the 19th century just so I could say I can, but those prices tho.
aju2streets
A Johnny Cash 45 "The Ways of a Woman In Love" from 1958. I was at a used bookstore the other day and they had a ton of 10" 78's on RCA/Victor for only $1 that I thought might be really old but didn't pick them up cause I would never listen to them. somethingvinyl
Yup. I love Coltrane, but I can't find any decent original copies of Blue Train for a reasonable price either. That's why I mentioned the Analogue Productions press... They have a 33 RPM and a 45 RPM available, and both sound about as good as any jazz record you're gonna here. Unlike the current wave of Miles reissues, there are NOT cheap pressings (under $20) of Coltrane that sound really good. Too many digital transfers. Speaking of Miles... My KOB, Sketches Of Spain, and Bitches Brew are all originals in VG quality. (BB might even be NM.) Missed this: Yeah, and Davis' originals in VG to VG+ shape aren't the priciest. It's the NM copies that go all out. Check out my jazz in my tradelist. I have a pretty good amount.
