Coming Soon: Pulp - His N Hers 2xLP
openupyourskull replied to crapforgenius's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Might consider this if the price goes down a bit in the future... excellent album but not something I would drop 50 bucks on. -

Ended up splurging on the Blur boxset last night. Too good of a deal to pass up. -

I downloaded this a while ago when it was free... barcode scanner is tempermental and I wish there was a way to organize/alpabetize your favorites (which is what I use to keep track of my collection.) Otherwise a nice app, though. -

TOY - TOY Grimes - Visions Animal Collective - Centipede Hz Tame Impala - Lonerism Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes I think. Maybe. -
Caribou - Swim R.E.M. - Collapse Into Now MGMT - Congratulations 7" Animal Collective - Honeycomb/Gotham 7" My Chemical Romance - Conventional Weapons Number One 7"
-
The Horrors - Strange House The Killers - Hot Fuss (2004 Control Group press on blue) The Killers - Hot Fuss 7" box set The Cure - Disintegration (original 1989 press) not necessarily "rare," but it's one of my favorite albums ever and sounds incredible. Radiohead - OK Computer (original Parlophone press) same deal with Disintegration. And my Radiohead/Cure collection in general, I guess.

Color came out even better than I expected! Will definitely be ordering one of these... then I'll be obligated to buy Tre as well to complete the set.

May have to try this... had a few 12" singles come to me warped. Didn't pay much for either of them, but it was a bummer nonetheless. -
PO: The Master (Soundtrack)
openupyourskull replied to Rip's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Pretty sure Nonesuch is a little bit cheaper overall, though. Cost $27 shipped compared to the $30 and change from Amazon. -

Just got a shipping notice for my blue copy! -
It sounds okay... not the best. At least they're pretty cheap though (usually $15 or less.)

Ban on cell phones at shows
openupyourskull replied to icecream's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I never use my phone at a show... no matter how hard you try, pictures/video will always look like utter crap. Most cell phone cameras just can't handle stage lights. However, I do usually bring along one of my little point-and-shoots to take a few shots here and there just for my own personal memories and most of the time I end up with a few halfway decent ones. It's not like I'm watching the entire show through the lens, though. If you're going to do that, you might as well not be at the gig at all.
