Well. My copy arrived today Sunday. Nice surprise. It’s in perfect shape. I’m glad they put the records in poly-lined paper sleeves so not to damage the printed ones. Nice touch. And the resealable plastic sleeve is nice & thick. So far I’d say I’m impressed with IVC. I’ll re-up for Helmet’s Betty.

Also in that vein...and adjacent to Nothing and Whirr...check out Wisp. She does some fuzzed out heavy shoegaze.

I find it curiously funny that when the whole WHIRR “cancellation” happened, G.L.O.S.S. were riding high for a hot minute and then almost overnight just faded to be never heard from again. And yet, WHIRR didn’t really get cancelled as they still played shows, albeit very few, and put out new stuff, and from the looks of things, are still popular. Weird how that all played out.

That explains why the article just meandered and repeated itself throughout.

What’s funny they was pointed is that Billie’s last album had 8 variants. But I get what she’s saying about the excessiveness by other major artists.

Yeah...I took another listen...this time watching the video...it's pretty bad.

I want to like the new Camila Cabello song but something feels off & maybe a bit generic about it. It doesn’t help that they chorus sounds silly in its repetitiveness.

Just looked through the full list of indie store variants and this is just excessive. I mean, hey...if you're able to afford to get all 12 plus the others (10C, RSD, regular indie store) more power to you. I'm OK with the 10C I have pre-ordered and hopefully will snag the RSD one that day. If I make it out of the house.

Listened to the album a couple of times today. Not sure about it. Something feels off to me. It’s like it’s too shiny & glossy & maybe overproduced in its sound. It reminded me of what Country music sounded like in the 80’s and part of the 90’s as it was trying to forcefully appeal to the pop mainstream & ignoring its roots & sound.
