I think the release is perfect. End of May, right as the summer starts, so you can blast it for the next 4 months with the windows down.

I love how Giorgio is basically a microcosm of the whole concept of the album. It kills.

that was definitely the point. i remember some interview where they talked about wanting to be different from all the recent house/edm/electronic music that people make basically just on laptops, so they stayed away from samples and used a ton of real instruments.

Was really hoping the album title would be a sticker on the front, oh well... after several listens, I love the album too much to care anymore.

Haven't gotten a chance to listen to the full album yet but the Miguel and Busta featured tracks are really great. The reviews have been lukewarm, but then everything I see on forums has been pretty positive, so I'm hoping for the best.

This is the first place I've seen anything negative about it. Surprised that a lot of you are so underwhelmed. It's been getting 9/10 ratings pretty consistently and everyone I've talked to really likes it. I've only listened twice but I'd definitely put it in my top 2 or 3 for the year so far.

Not sure if I want this enough to actually buy it... I'll probably wait and see if I can pick it up on sale somewhere later. I was at that Boston show, though, which makes me want it more, so I'll probably get it eventually.

I still think it's June 18th, at least until it gets pushed back. Elliott Wilson probably got the info from the dude at Def Jam and wasn't supposed to make it public so he had to retract the confirmation. I'd bet it's legit. DJ Semtex from the UK has been tweeting a whole bunch of "clues" about it. People over on KanyeToThe think the single will be out May 8th and the album will be called "Thank You God" based off of two Semtex tweets (so obviously all speculation still.) Really the only thing 100% confirmed is that Kanye will be on SNL on 5/18 which means new music is imminent even if the rumored dates aren't right.

Just listened to most of it (skipped the Will.i.am track) and it's decent. Feels a little scattered/all over the place, but I guess most soundtracks do.
