(Bump...) I didn't think it'd be worth making another thread, but did anyone else see the Nostalgia Ultra bootleg going up for preorder at Strictly Discs? With Channel Orange I'm going to hold out hope for a legitimate release and not get a bootleg, but since they're never going to clear all of the Nostalgia Ultra samples and release it officially, I emailed about preordering this one as fast as I could.

Can't decide on this... $37 is a lot, probably more than I'm willing to spend. But at the same time, I really want it.

Whoa. I did not see that coming. Really glad I passed. I wonder if anyone will try to get their money back. I'd be interested to see if they can or how that works out.

The album is kind of bipolar. There are a lot of nonsense bullshit songs about nothing, which is to be expected. Some if them are fun and clever, others miss the mark. Where I get interested are songs like Cowboy and Awkward which are much more serious content-wise. Really interesting to listen to. Overall I think Goblin is better and wont be buying this, regardless of how awesome the album covers are.

The US preorder link I posted has a bundle with a pretty sick lithograph, and the first 250 are signed (no idea if i made it in, but whatever)... it's kind of a rip off PLUS they added $10 for shipping, but I'm just a really huge fan and wanted that damn litho.

Just received the following email from XL: I'm not sure if it means just the vinyl, or all physical releases, or all releases period. I'd hope that they'd still let it drop on iTunes on 5/7, but who knows.

Is it really being sold as a "masterpiece" though? I mean, he's been EVERYWHERE promoting it, but it's because he's a huge star who's the rare combo of being insanely popular/marketable and actually good. It's been really overhyped, and people are definitely raving about how good it is, but I don't think many people one here (or maybe in general) would call it a masterpiece. Maybe I'm wrong. I really like it, but it's definitely not perfect. Not even close.

Wow, I really wish more US shows were that laid back and had that much fun. What a great clip. And damn, 5 tequila shots in 10 minutes?! Even if it was 20 edited down to 10, which it didn't seem like, that's intense.

Being from Massachusetts, I know exactly what you mean. Half of the first album was just that much more fun to sing along to.

I'm hoping we get the single today/tonight... considering the amount of info that has come out over the last few days. But really who the hell knows when it comes to these guys.

After listening to this, I'm upset I didn't spring for the clear one when it was sitting there... Their single "One Way Trigger" was awful, so I wasn't expecting much, but I really like this. Early favorites: Welcome To Japan, Tap Out

I would kill for the Chef Aid album. Seriously. That's a pillar of my youth.

On his website the last few weeks there were links to preorder on amazon or itunes, with one that said "t shirt bundle... coming soon" and now they redesigned the site and i don't see a link for it anywhere. Was kinda banking on getting that one. I'll wait a while and see if it pops up anywhere in the future.

What is the deal with the R. Kelly - Trapped In The Closet release? It's not on the list pdf that was posted or on Strictly, who claims to have 99% of the list posted, and I haven't seen anything about it anywhere else. I hope it's still happening.

Really wanted to pick up the Liquid Swords RSD box but you're right, too expensive. Especially considering I already bought the CD version last year.
