  8. i thought this band was known around here, they have a bit more structured sound with twinkles https://tommyboys.bandcamp.com/
  9. LololEdit: is anyone else irked by that real estate comparison from the noisey article. Spot off
  10. Most stores do. Mine is one of the smaller ones and we have about 200 titles in stock that sell well generally. We got ours only about 6 months ago and we were "late to the game." There are even several fye exclusive variants. Picked up the non deluxe black just now. Is it 180g? The records feel sturdy. Was hoping for the black and white but ah well, maybe my local record store got some in.
  11. The fye i work at got a copy in. Hoping its the black and white mix indie exclusive. Is the regular retail variant just black?
  12. the annotation for that part reads: "For the record, this line isn’t actually in the song as it’s sung on the album. On the album, Aaron says that he was “somewhere near Virginia rebuking Satan with ironic faithfulness.” The expanded version suggests that Aaron drew inspiration for the line from an old Gospel song about rebuking Satan and put this information in the lyric book as a nod to that." which means some of the books were printed with correct lyrics. also holy shit the meanings behind some of the songs are crazy. magic lantern days was very interesting in particular.
  13. Bump for this dude, I got some tapes I bought from him just a couple days ago TODAY. Super reasonable prices, and he ships faster than a cheetah on the hunt.
  14. You sure? It has the title dorothy but the actual lyrics are from Mexican War Streets
  15. weird thats what i assumed too, but the mail order dude said they werent included in that and sent me a dropbox of the 9 songs. stoked to have them now either way! ive listened to the cassette version of this for so long, some of the nuances that dont come through in that are really great. lots more spacey vocal effects on some songs than i imagined. Edit: 500th post
  16. FML!!!! was planning to get the black variant after picking up the tape from near mint. hoping there are still some around somewhere
  17. This really is an unfortunate turn of events, what with this album being so so good and the regular version coming out so nicely. As much as i like the deluxe packaging the jacket just feels a bit cheap, its looking like everyones lyric booklet is ripped or glued in (ive also seen some say their book didnt include mexican war streets), and this c/d mix up is really a punch to the gut. For me at least, those extra songs were the main reason i went with the deluxe, they aren't included in the download and not having a cd player are essentially still unobtainable. That being said Michael who is handling their mail order responded quickly, and even gave me an address if I wanted to send back the extra a/b disc.
  18. both labeled a/b. if you look at drews picture closely you can tell the c/d label is different and the grooves are as well
