I was wondering the same thing about the lavendar version. I'm going to do the same as you with this; lay back and see if a possible future pressing doesn't have the issue. I had a similar experience with my local store that was a bit upsetting. After I picked up my third copy from them, I was digging and found my original two in the used bin for $12 each. It bums me out that they're aware of the defect and they're still going to sell them to someone else.

Just wanted to follow up with you on some more bad news. I kept on Third Man about it and they offered to send me another copy free of charge even though I didn't buy it through them. I was all excited until it was delivered today and it has the exact same defect! I'm just going to have to live with skipping tracks 2 & 3 on this one I guess :/

I like sides 2 & 3 a lot, but sides 1 & 4 of pretty terrible.

The album has grown on me with repeated listens as well. There's a few tracks I wasn't hot on to begin with that I dig a lot more now. The last song on each side is still my favorite though.

I got all 3 of mine from Found Sound in Ferndale Michigan. As far as I know, they're getting theirs straight from Third Man.

I sent them a very detailed, if not slightly irritated email about it on Saturday. Just got a reply asking for a video with the issue because they say no one else has reported it. If you've gone through 3 copies of this along with me, all from different sources, there's just no way that's true. Oh well. I shot a video and sent it a few minutes ago so here's hoping for some sort of good reply on their part.

I was wondering/hoping the same thing. I'm so bummed about this. I blind bought this album, having never ever her previous material with Third Man. I ended up really liking the rest of the album and I love what I can hear of track 3. The rest of track 2 and all of track 3 are unplayable and it's such a pain in the ass.

That's unfortunate for you in that case. Many of the rest of us don't have that issue, so it works out nicely.

Got my third copy the other day....same defect. This blows. I really like the album and wish there was a way to get one without this issue.

Same here. I was able to pick mine up with little to no effort from a local store yesterday for that very reason.

Had no idea, thanks for the heads up! Thinking about going to place a final order in a minute. I say "final" as if it'll actually be the last one.

This is probably my favorite track so far. Can't wait to hear the whole album!

My local shop got their vinyl in stock yesterday. They usually let me have new releases as soon as they arrive, but the owner said he just didn't feel comfortable with this one. I'll be there on Monday morning to grab it though.

Still no update on the 2LP Houses of the Holy set. I was in 2 local shops yesterday and neither had it in stock either. They were both surprised at the small amount of stock they received, so maybe that one is just harder to get for some reason. Still extremely happy with the rest of my purchase though, I just keep hoping to see that charge come through for Houses!

Just noticed the code still works too. Trying so hard not to place a second order.

Finallly got a chance to spin everything I ordered and I couldn't be happier. Still waiting on the 2LP Houses of the Holy to ship, but I can wait for that and just play my OG in the mean time.

I've gone through 2 copies myself and had the same defect. Picking up a third copy later this week, but I'm almost expecting it to have the same defect now due to your experience :/

5 of my 6 LPS arrived yesterday in perfect condition. The only weird thing with my order is that the 2LP edition of Houses of the Holy went on back order for me and still hasn't shipped. I placed my order on Sunday night, and a buddy placed his order Monday morning. He got Houses of the Holy, but I didn't. It's not the end of the world as I have an OG Houses and I already knew it was on back order when I ordered. Just thought it was odd that my buddy ordered a day later and got it when mine hasn't even shipped yet.

Same here. I only need I-III, so I grabbed them when the re-issues came out.
