  1. I will let you know in a couple of days.
  2. Bump. It's been over a week since I posted this and so much is for sale in here it got buried pretty quick.
  3. I haven't had any skipping issues with mine, although it's a black pressing.
  4. I'll be picking up Violator and SoFaD for sure. I have the Violator Live set that came out a few years back and love it.
  5. Recently upgraded to a AT150MLX so I have no use for my old AT440MLa. It has around 30 hours of use on it playing all records that were run through my VPI 16.5 prior to playing. Pics or more info provided to anyone interested. Only asking $100 plus shipping.
  6. Pulled the trigger on this about 2 weeks ago but I've only put about 10 hours of listening into it so far. VERY impressed with it thus far. It's definitely an upgrade over my previous (and favorite) prior stylus, the AT440MLa.
  7. Very cool update. It's so nice to get so much info and the promise of something extra instead of being ignored like so many other artists seem to do.
  8. Picked up MMLP2 last Friday. Wasn't expecting much in the way of sound, but it sounds quite a bit better than I was expecting.
  9. Finally pulled the trigger on a AT150MLX which was delivered this afternoon. I ran 5-6 songs from all different genres by it and I'm ecstatic with what I heard!
  10. Finally got around to buying this today. No sound issues on either side so I'm very pleased!
  11. Right on. I appreciate the effort in helping anyways Could very well be that these records were just beyond saving. I own a VPI 16.5 but I figured I'd try the wood glue thing more or less for the hell of it.
  12. I'm guessing no one's used this stylus. I'm gonna end up giving it a try in the new year.
  13. Yes to both. I let it dry over the course of 12 hours or so, then peeled it off. These were records with a lot of pops & cracks. When I removed the glue a day or so late and played the records they sounded exactly the same. I was bummed because it seems to work well for many other people.
  14. I bought one about a year ago. I use the bag/AC adapter combo they sell instead of attempting the oven method. It works, yes, but it takes MUCH longer than they say it does. Mild warps can be taken out in a 3-4 hours but a major warp (the kind that would make a record unplayable) takes about 8-12 hours.
  15. I've tried the wood glue method on a few records and even though there's not really a way to do it wrong, I'm starting to think that somehow I AM doing something wrong haha. It seemed to do next to nothing on the few records I tried it on.
  16. Same here. I had two other pressings of In Utero prior and ended up selling them.
  17. Ok cool. I'll be out of town until the 3rd week of January so here's hoping it'll be something to come home to!
  18. I've got a Back On Black issue of Chronic 2001 that sounds great. I got a chance to listen to The Slim Shady LP today and liked how it sounded too. Maybe there's just a bad run of some of them?
  19. I finally caved and bought a VPI 16.5 about a year and a half ago and I absolutely love it. It took me a while to get over the price, but after having cleaned/improved around 600 LPs with it, I'm very happy I got it.
  20. I've heard of that happening as well, but like you're saying it hasn't happened to me either.
  21. Magic Eraser has worked out fine for me. Just placing it under the tone arm and using the level to take it up and down a few times.
  22. Searched for a thread on this and couldn't find one. Anyone have experience with the AT150MLX stylus? I'm currently using (and very happy with) a AT440MLa so I'm thinking about going to the next step up. I've searched around the web and found really good feedback on it. Just wanted to poke around here and see if anyone has more feedback to offer.
