  1. It's probably still a bad idea to sell them like that. It reminds me of when I sold an older phone a few years back after upgrading. In the auction I listed very clearly that it did not turn on and I didn't know what the problem was. Of course the guy who bought it opened a case on ebay saying the phone didn't work and had been "tampered with." And of course he won, and got his money back, well after I had spent it. Edit: to clarify, I'm not saying he's doing anything wrong by selling records that skip, rather that I'm just VERY cautious about selling "broken" things on eBay due to their overly seller-hostile attitude. It's way too easy to get boned. No matter how much you think your disclosures cover your ass.
  2. To be fair to USPS, that's hardly their fault that someone used nothing more than a sheet of brown paper to protect a flimsy record jacket while traveling across the country in planes, trucks, and through sorting machines.
  3. Lots of people reaching out, and they've almost all flaked at the last minute. =[ Someone who actually wants to sell me some of these records, please reach out.
  4. Got my records today. Thanks man! Bivouac was in beautiful shape. Almost NM, which is more than I hoped for a 20 year old record. Buy this dude's records, people!
  5. Mostly, yeah. The only things I really have that I don't want to keep right now are... Of Montreal - Paralytic Stalks (yellow vinyl) and Torche - Harmonicraft (clear vinyl with lollipop slipmat) If you don't want either of those, would you be cool with selling?
  6. I like how the cardboard sheet they wrapped around it isn't even large enough to cover the lp jacket. "Ehh... Good enough."
  7. Sold so hard. One of the best pop punk records ever recorded. I've probably listened to this album a couple of hundred times and I'm really excited to hear it on vinyl. Do you happen to have any test pressings left for this?
  8. That is real shitty, and I'm sorry to hear about it. My advice would be to look up a pit bull rescue group in your area and notify them about the situation. They're often good at pressuring local authorities to rehome obviously abused dogs like these. They may be able to take the dogs and work with a trainer to help them. That would be the best outcome for the pits, and it would get them out of your neighborhood. It never hurts to reach out, most rescue groups are happy to spring to action.
  9. Yes, exactly. The dogs are a symptom, the owner is the cause. If you were chained up alone in a backyard and only fed every other day, you'd be a mean asshole too. The owner should be the one that gets punished, and the dogs should be taken to a rescue with a capable trainer. Even worse that the shit bag is a backyard breeder. Dog breeders and animal abusers are only a half step above child molestors.
  10. Don't be a shit head. Kill the lousy fucking owners who can't take care of their pit bulls, not the dogs.
  11. I just put my 10"s in with my LPs. Especially because I have a few 10"s with bigger, almost LP sized packaging, like that QOTSA record, and 21st Century Breakdown.
  12. Ahab also died at the bottom of the ocean after harpooning himself to a giant fucking whale. Just sayin'
  13. 40 - 70, depending on double LPs, gatefolds, how tightly you pack them, etc. I have around 220-ish albums in 4 cubbies.
  14. There are records that are worth quite a bit more than $200, you know. If I'm trying to sell a $700 record and I turn down an offer for $200, that doesn't mean I don't want to sell it. It means that I know damn well I can get closer to $700 for it with a little more patience.
  15. Haha, no problem. It looked like you just gave up mid-sentence on the other one.
  16. Hell, half the time you can't even actually track it on its way TO the original recipient. Edit: Why not just try putting in the tracking number on the website to see what happens?
