pistols2sky got a reaction from fooood in Deja Entendu Repress Confirmation
In a recent interview, Fred Feldman, owner of Triple Crown Records, confirmed that there will be a Deja Entedu vinyl reissue.
From the interview...
Haha, that’s my favorite question! It’s one of those things where I have to remind myself not to be a dick. (laughs) I have a very close relationship with the band, and they always want to put music out a certain way, both aesthetically and sonically. That’s why I don’t want to just press it and put it out there. When we reissued Your Favorite Weapon they went back and remastered the whole thing. They always want to do things a little bit differently. It’s going to come, that’s all I am going to say, and hopefully there will be a few surprises included as well. The band was very important to me and the label, so I don’t want to just press it and put it out there because it’s not what they would want.
I like when people ask me about this from an innocent angle. Kids will suggest pressing it again to me as if it’s something we have never heard before. I get it. It bums us and the band out when we go online and see how much some people are willing to pay on eBay for copies.

pistols2sky reacted to yarostino in PO: Dessa - Castor, The Twin (Regular, Non-RSD)
for the european folks: it looks like HHV.de now has the white RSD variant in stock: http://www.hhv.de/shop/de/artikel/dessa-of-doomtree-castor-the-twin-358743
price is a little steep but its actually cheaper for me in germany than ordering it from doomtrees store.

Also of note, DFA has free shipping right now with promo code "usa#1". I don't know if it will stack with the preorder, but it wouldn't hurt to try, right?
I just tried it out. It works. So save yourself $5!

After I looked at UK Amazon, I checked US Amazon and it turns out a few sellers had it listed for around 27-28 total.

pistols2sky got a reaction from timbrh2001 in LCD Soundsystem - The Long Goodbye (RSD 14)
Did a quick search and didn't see a thread dedicated to this release. Had it in my hand Saturday morning but couldn't bring myself to pay the price tag. Did anyone pick this up? What do you think? I'm a huge fan of the band and don't own any of their stuff on wax, so I keep going back to whether it's worth picking up as an overview. Loved the documentary as well.

Looks like after the success of the white, RSD pressing of "Castor, The Twin," Doomtree is pressing standard black versions. The pre-order's up here:
