"I use the large yard debris type trash bags. I try to buy the independent, local, artisanal, hand made bags, but in a pinch, any off the shelf brand will do. I prefer the black ones, but any opaque color will do. Below are the pluses and minuses:
Pluses:
-Large opening. No need to mess around with squeezing in large gatefold jackets.
-Can hold multiple LPs in one bag. If I just drop them in randomly, I can play a fun game of finding the LP I want every time I want to listen to it.
-Already in trash bag when I throw out the LPs. Simple.
-So many other pluses.
 
Minuses:

If you do the math, this costs $6,333.33 per liter. I am a RT-PCR specialist, and I can't imagine anyone ever using this... but it exists.

If you use the search function, you'll find that a lot of people say its worth it.

I buy demos/floor models. I don't think I've paid full price for a single item in any of my setups. 

Skipping 1080p was fine as most content is 720p anyway.  The old plasma is beginning to show its age though.
Really wanted to hold out for an OLED, it's a bit hard to justify $3k.  

The KS8000 would be one of my recommendations as there isn't a world of difference between that and Samsung's flagship 9000 series this year but the price difference is pretty substantial between the two. 
 
I would also look at the Sony 65X850D as I find the backlight uniformity to be slightly better (one of the things Samsung LEDs have always struggled with) and I personally prefer Sony's Triluminos color processor to Samsung's Quantom Dot. 
 
As a related aside, I just bought a 65EF9500 OLED to replace my 2013 Samsung 55F8000, but it hasn't been delivered yet as I'm working for the next week straight. Very much looking forward to it.

I'm actually totally cool with the way the Marantz looks now that I've seen a bunch of pictures of it in people's setups. 
 
I think a big reason why I didn't like  it at first was white on white product pics.

Distilled deionized water is more important than RO. 
 
Laura Dearborn states 25% isopropyl. Meaning starting with 99.9999% and 1:4 mix. 
 
Honestly, if you're buying a VPI, buy cleaner. MoFi or Something. I was making it (as you might have read) bc I had access to lab grade chemicals for free. Once you buy everything lab grade, you'll be spending the same just purchasing pre made.

Looks are important and if you don't like the look, maybe you better buy something else. You are probably aware that the Marantz TT is manufactured by Clearaudio, so why not check out their line of products, i.e. this one:

That may be the way I go.

I'll tell you this 1) I gave you a reputation to give you 666. And will give you plenty of negatives to keep you there. 2) The Marantz TT-15S1 is more stunning in person. Go to a Best
Buy and look in person if you haven't. 3) You'll want to upgrade from your Marantz 2235B. Also why not use the preamp in the Marantz 2235B?
 
But really, bang for you buck, the Marantz crushes all. The Satisfy tonearm? The Virtuoso cart? Seriously. No other choice for $1k.

There's something about the light color that I don't love. It's not that I find it ugly, it's almost like to me it's lacking some "weight" visually.
 
That being said, I think you're right that it's the best option.

Just got back into vinyl a couple of months ago after 30 year absence. Finally got fed up with the compressed sound of digital, so on the advice of my son, I rediscovered the joy of LPs once again. Could not be happier. System is: Uturn Orbit with acrylic platter, Tannoy System 800 speakers with a Yamaha RX-V377 amp.
