  1. I picked that up this year too. My favourite is this: I helped a guy out on Discogs and in return he sent me this single out of gratitude. It is a great record too: http://youtu.be/CFfsZCUYMBE
  2. Fairly high. The thing is not likely to sell out on coloured vinyl. 2,000 copies is too high a number for that Album...actually too high for the band I suspect. MOV won't release the black until the coloured is gone.
  3. They sent me the coasters too, mine were of the black vinyl.
  4. Here's a picture of the original mispressed A/B record next to the repress A/B record. Note the different shade of blue. These aren't superimposed so they appear next to each other, they were laid side by side for the photograph.
  5. Yes. However I've spoken with a few bands who tried to get this done and met the hard sell to use GZ's mastering. Whether it's true or not I can;t say, but why wouldn't they lie? I have copie of some albums which were cut elsewhere and pressed at GZ and they sound absolutely great. One that springs to mind is the Pearl Jam's Backspacer on (UK) vinyl. Mastered by Golden Mastering, CA, USA and pressed at GZ. Sounds great.
  6. That won't be an issue for a good vinyl mastering engineer but since at GZ it's automated, it is a good point and one that will be interesting to see unfold. Not that I enjoy sitting around waiting for people to tread in dogshit, but it will be interesting to see if they tackle the problem or if as I expect they'll just let the machine do the "mastering".
  7. Got my replacement record today. Just a single record pressed with a new stamper on a light blue translucent vinyl. MOV are boss.
  8. Enjoytherides stuff is normally done through GZ Digital Media afaict. GZ often cram too much on each side. In this case though, Album of the Year is around 45 minutes long in total, so this particular record can quite easily be reproduced on a single piece of vinyl without any issues. I would expect the Enjoytheride pressing to be above average. The original AOTY vinyl is on one piece of vinyl (but sound pretty ho-hum).
  9. Yes. Obviously they wouldn't be repressing the thing if it was just my copy. Unsure how people would go about getting their disc 1 replaced. All I was asked for was my address and then advised that they'd be sending me the A/B records when they were made in 2 weeks time (now 1 weeks time). http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/90510-po-faith-no-more-angel-dust/?p=1563313
  10. Some further info on this issue. The problem is definitely with the stamper. The black vinyl I ordered from Amazon arrived this morning but it was not black, but blue (well done Amazon) and the problem is also on this copy. Plus users have advised they too have noticed the wobble in the track and some have not mentioned it. It seems that unless you're familiar with how the track should sound at that point that the issue can easily be missed. I own Ltd. Edition #461 and #1692.
  11. The owner one of the better FNM discographies PM'd me yesterday and said that Amazon sent him the blue one which was surprise to him since the Amazon page specifically said "Black". I also ordered a black one from Amazon, it has not arrived yet but I ordered later so fingers cross they'll have run out of the blue ones and I get the black one.
  12. Australia got the initial versions without Easy on Slash/Liberation Records. It wasn;t an import: First version was misprinted and quickly fixed. Then in January 1993 Angel Dust was repackaged and initially sold in Australia on CD by Slash/Liberation and was repackaged under a different catalogue number, In 1994, it was released under Slash/London Records in Australia. in 1999 is was given a new catalogue number. Then in 2003 released on Warner Music Australia and Slash. In other words, Australia got Easy on their copies of Angel Dust in January 1993 along with the UK, South America, Japan and Europe.
  13. It seems that not many people notice the defect. I just had a bunch of PMs on Discogs where people were just saying how good the pressing is, no one mentioned the fault. The issue lasts less than a fraction of a second. I'm not happy with it myself but others either don't notice it, don't care.
  14. It's the "I wish I was Robert Pollard" vocals at the start which fuck it up for me. That and it being mostly all bad. I listened to Pacer by The Amps instead.
  15. Purple and Tiny Music fantastic in my view. I've always felt that Core was incredibly banal. I have the original UK Atlantic pressing and don't think I've listened to it (on vinyl) for ten years.
  16. The problem we got was around 1:50 to 1:55. Piano part following the first chorus just before the lyrics start with "He became a fat penny so fast...". I previously gave the wrong time.
  17. I've never had a problem with them before and my dealings have always been informal questions. We chatted at length last year about the QOTSA Lullabies reissue and were really helpful. With this issue, they just asked me for my address to sort the problem so they seem fairly pro-active. Also their pressings to date seem to be top notch.
  18. They're sending me a replacement for the a/b of the black vinyl copy too. Whilst I do not have it yet, it is on its way to me from the company I ordered it from. MOV are sending me both the A/B for the blue and the black when they are re-made which will take up to two weeks. Whilst I have not tested the black, the fact they're replacing this before I've received it suggests they've come to conclusions of their own.
  19. I've had a mail advising that they're replacing the 1st record of both my copies (I've ordered the black but it's not with me yet). I'm to get them in about 2 weeks.
  20. Okay, bad news for the blue copy at least. Users have started to report that the "wobble" on Everything's Ruined is inherent and it's not my just my copy.
  21. I got an email from MOV about the colour saturation and replied with my problem asking if they are able to test any copies they have with them. My black vinyl has not been dispatched yet so cannot check it for a while. Anyone who gets either copy, if they can check it (around the 1:42 mark) please tell me if your copy has this momentary "wobble".
  22. Even though they say that the camera will not be used nefariously (they said that about all our data - Snowden), the fact it is always on and always active is a big, big problem for me. Some officials at MS have said that it's only on when it needs to be, if this is the case, then how are some game studios making achievements which unlock if you "jump or appear surprised" or conversely if there's a lack of reaction following a "scary" moment in the game?
  23. I mountain bike and I recently smashed up a really expensive fashion watch. My fiancee bought me a G-Shock and I've smacked the crap out of it and it's still intact (not a scratch). Great watches. This is my one:
