  1. you guys really liked the jazz over the chase scene? I thought it was awful! Comical even. I may be wrong, but there has not been one other instance of Jazz setting the mood this whole series, and then to use it for that fast paced scene. Horrible choice... like I said, it made it almost comical, not compelling. Not only did it not fit the tone of that scene, it did not fit the tone of the whole series. Major faux pas on that one.
  2. wait, yours shipped already? I havent heard anything on mine... I ordered from hhv. I guess I got lucky, I sat on the pre-order for a couple of weeks going back and forth with myself, and just finally pulled the trigger a few days ago.. seems like I almost missed out because of my indecisiveness I didn't even consider it could a be a boot.... but, now I see that the order page says the label is Unknown...
  3. Vector53, on 10 Nov 2014 - 11:32 PM, said: this response totally doesn't belong here, but the ONE time I actually cared enough to get a record autographed, the duo, both, signed it really small on the backside down by the barcode at the bottom! WTH!? I thought it was common knowledge you scribbled your name really big and illegibly across the front cover, maybe a generic message to stay cool or rock on <<--- that part applies to this thread
  4. Vanessa Bayer has some good characters and is a solid performer over all. She really seemed to take a bit of lead the last episode. I think she is pretty great.
  5. i didn't see the previews because I have to watch online the next day.... but my new theory based on the last few posts... Jury tells Jax about Gemma's involvement in killing J.T. .... Jax confonts Gemma about it, without being specific about him meaning his father 'Why'd you do it...' 'you're a murder....' or something along those lines... Gemma starts confessing about Tara. BUT... I kind of doubt Gemma will ever very easily say the words she killed Tara out loud again... so, who can say....
  6. actually that is a very apt statement. Of course a person will personalize, take greater investment when it is someone so close. i find it hard to believe that if this happened to your daughter/wife/mother you would not be much more outraged. That is not to not take away any outrage you may have towards this incident, but it's natural it would be greater if it involved someone close to you. and when someone appears to trivialize the whole incident (as a couple posts here have), I can't help but see how making them think about whether it was someone close to them as opposed to a stranger, a person might actually have a different (more concerned) attitude from the seemingly flippant ones they have posted here.
  7. LOFL! I didn't name or imply anybody (or pay particularly close to who was posting what) when I typed that... thought it would be funny to see if anybody called them-self out... I guess somebody did.
  8. it looks like there is a deluxe cd box set with the extra 70 tracks, including the Live and Loud show, which will also come out as a stand alone dvd. Since the full tracklisting is still unknown, it's hard to say what (live and/or b-side/demo type stuff) will be on the third slab of vinyl...
  9. it's pretty obvious he addressed you in this thread, I like how he thinks he's hiding still!
  10. jesus christ! yea he saying that Black Friday Record Store Day is not as big as April Record Store Day and that he has never had a problem with scarcity. Got it. I am saying that is NOT LIKELY to be the case for future Black Friday RSD events, as in the vinyl hype and trend to produce scarce high 'value' and limited products is SURELY on its way to having the same affect on Future Black Friday RSD releases as is with the 'Main' RSD now. Hence: FAMOUS LAST WORDS (still don't get it? I was kind of enough define the phrase once already... if that didn't help, try google) But I'M daft!? Comprehension, Get Into It! edit: thanks for the likes.
  11. again: Famous Last Words!!! can't believe you've never heard this phrase; Meaning A remark or prediction that is likely to be proved wrong by events.
  12. BIG REGRET: When it first came out, I was in the college town a few hours away from my home for a concert and of course hitting up the record stores my po-dunk town didn't have. Had the BLUE Downward Is Heavenword in my hand and Pavements Wowee Zowee. For whatever reason, I walked out with Pavement instead!! ...and the cost of the Hum vinyl. 8 bucks! GAHHH! The memory just wont leave me....
  13. '--edit, your last post came just as I was about to post this, but I think the sentiment stands.. and also Kudos for the entertaining follow through.... Mcdonalds éh! ahahah!--' i think you're seeing this 'opportunity' through the rose colored glasses of desire. its shading your rational mind! you said yourself you wouldn't do these things for 10 dollar item, yet your wanting is pushing you to do it with hundreds of dollars! Every record I have REALLY REALLY wanted has come around again at some point. Often times if I was quick on the draw (Deja Entendu for 20, YFW for 15...hand to god!!), I got the deal of the century..of course those lucky moments just even out the times I let my desire overtake me. But those days are gone (mostly), Ive learned to just wait it out. I feel pretty confident almost every person on here has let this NEED for a record (or whatever else) put them in a situation they regretted. But from experience, I gotta say, step back wait! Sorry to sound like a downer here, realize you'll get it eventually without taking a huge risk....
  14. so this is annoying as f(Ock. What can you do about shill bidding (that, well I admit the proof is not solid, though IMO pretty damn tight). This is a major ebay and discogs seller. digitalvinyl de. On ebay of their 5000+ items, only 88 are actual auctions. I put early bids on 4, and was the only bid on them for just under 2 days. With-in about 20 minutes tonight they ALL got out bid. Ok, sure, not unusual, I bid low to start to just to have it on my radar. The thing is of my four 3 were the same bidder, 1 one was a different bidder. Both with under 20 feedback 13 for one 8 for the other. A bit fishy, but still not so unusual...maybe. Checked all their other auctions. Of those with just one bid, almost all of them, with-in a half or so time, got new bids from around 5 or so accounts all under 20 feedback (one in the 40's). Now granted this could be coincidence, but to me it screams shill bidding seeing as how it was ALL their 1 bid items, all from a few accounts with low (winning/feedback) use. All with-in a very short time period. what do you think, I am being paranoid or does this not scream shill!? Think I should report to ebay for them to investigate? Would they even care or do anything? I wish I could also call them out at discogs, but of course no name and shame there (plus, obviously, though shady, its independent of discogs... Click on the only Auction tab to exclude their 5000 buy it nows and you can see how fishy their auctions are http://www.ebay.de/sch/vinyldigital_de/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686 it's frustrating.
  15. I agree the self righteous reactionary response to the magazine is pretty insincere from a lot of people. The people yelling about how Rolling Stone has no business printing this kind of story really have no clue as to what R.S. is, or its history. Sure there are people who really have valid reasons for not wanting any kind of acknowledgement of the guy, but that is just not possible, or ultimately really beneficial to sweep it all under the rug. I do however agree, somewhat, with the people that have a problem with the choice of cover image. If it fits the story (which I have not read) and somehow ties into him just being an ordinary kid corrupted or gone wrong.. *maybe*... but, I admit when I saw the image with no context and not having looked closely at the cover blurbs, I figured it was some indie rock guy getting his 15 minutes! It does glamorize him to a certain degree. I mean that is probably our own perceptions of what a cool Rolling Stone cover person usually looks like (he fits in with the various music/movie stars they've had on the cover over the years). If they had used a more restrained photo, I doubt the issue would have been so blown out of proportion. ( I removed a BUNCH of phrases that were very big puns, but gave in for the last sentence)
  16. ^^ this. I am for wiggle room and talking any issues out, but you are being WAY to cool with this fool. Not only should you be dinging him with negative feedback, but you should be alerting ebay so they can do whatever they do as well. Not that losing an 17 feedback account will wreck this guy, but there's a bit of principle to this as well....
  17. to quote from said linked thread: makes the most sense, it's more of a 'new item' thread kind of thing than a reoccurring Pop Market thread// besides they are not exactly filling up the pages every day, it seems mostly to be when its the occasional super deal with higher interest than normal
  18. take that view point and re watch the last few seasons (or all really)... you really have to not think to critically at the big logic/timeline gaps or you will spend the whole episode with your hands in air yelling: WHAT? HOW? WHY? NO WAY! NOT POSSIBLE! HOW'D HE GET THERE SO FAST? HOW DID NO ONE SEE HIM THERE! ARE THERE NO SECURITY CAMERA'S ANYWHERE IN MIAMI/S.B!>!> but you know, save all that... I'll still watch until the end ;p
  19. you guys just enjoy calling out anybody for anything or what? How more upfront and direct can that person be about the the records!? Anybody who wants to bid on them, that's their prerogative. Not sure what gets your pussies so hurt about it. Nobody is forcing anybody to bid on that, and if anybody does, they know exactly what they are getting.
