  1. I havnen't seen Sigur Ros yet, but I've seen Jonsi twice, and it was an incredible experience both times. Visually stunning. I can't wait for this show.
  2. The Sigur Ros pre sale just went live and I scored four tickets in row B. I'm so excited. These are the best tickets for any seated show I've ever been to.
  3. A couple years ago I found a Mellon Collie tour shirt for $2 at a thrift store here. I don't know what happened to it though. I can't find it anywhere.
  4. I felt the same way. Caspian dedicated a song to Kilby Court, so I figured it would be fitting to leave before Underoath started so I could catch a show at Kilby that I wanted to see as well.
  5. Oh man, I don't know where to start. So first of all, I ended up buying a VIP/Meet and Greet ticket for cheaper than a standard ticket at the door would have cost. It was a little weird being at a meet and greet for a band whose music I don't really care for. I felt like any second someone was going to confront me anad tell me I'm not a true fan. haha. I was standing around listening to the keyboard player (Chris?) and he told everyone around there how happy he was to get Caspian on tour with them. He talked about how well they play live and that they're amazing people too. He said that someone in Caspian told him that they wrote Dust and Disquiet with the intention of playing it inside a massive venue. This tour was giving them a chance to play in those type of venues. I was impressed with how highly everyone in Underoath spoke of Caspian. Before the show started there were a lot of Hot Topic type people shit talking the "unknown opening band" they had to suffer through before they could see Underoath. Caspian came out on stage and ripped into Darkfield, and it was incredible. Their lighting guy does an amazing job setting the stage and these guys sound better and better every time I see them. They sounded absolutely massive. By the time they finished playing that, it silenced every shit talker around me. People were stunned. The setlist was Darkfield -> Malacoda -> Rioseco -> Arcs of Command -> Sycamore Someone posted this gif on twitter yesterday with the caption "me watching Caspian play Sycamore" and I think it's completely fitting After Caspian finished there was one shit talker left that said "Now we get to see the good stuff." I told him "You just saw the good stuff" and left the crowd.
  6. Bookmark this link and never go to the post office again. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now
  7. I mentioned the other day that I found a wallet and returned it. Today, karma paid me back. I had some time to kill before the Caspian show, so I walked over to the food court at a mall by the venue. It was super packed with teenage girls who were going the the Justin Beiber show at another venue a couple blocks down. I got my food and ate there. When I was done I left the food court and started back to the venue. I realized my wallet wasn't in my pocket and booked it back to the food court, parting the sea of Bieber fans. I got back to the table I was at and couldn't find the wallet anywhere. I asked a few people if they had seen it and nobody had. I was just about to give up, when a man came up to me and handed me the wallet. I was super relieved. I've never lost a wallet before and was super scared. I had a decent amount of cash in there and he could have just walked off with it. It's nice that there are good honest people in the world.
  8. At the venue waiting for Caspian earlier tonight. "Dude you look familiar. Where do I know you from?" I don't know. "Are you in Underoath?" No. "Are you in Caspian?" No. "Well you look really familiar. It must be the beard."
  9. I was at Zia in Vegas for Record Store Day about three years ago and it was a mess. All the LPs were in two small bins and people were crowded around and reaching in trying to grab what they wanted. It was pretty packed. I don't know how it is now though. Maybe it's gotten better.
  10. I was really impressed. The sound was great, and the setlist was a nice mix of material I wanted to hear. The only other time I've seen them was around 2009 or '10 when they played In The Venue and this show was so much better.
  11. I think I will. Do you know how long their set has typically been on this tour?
  12. I'm looking for Underoath tickets so I can see Caspian tonight. I found a few on Craigslist for $20, so that's not too bad.
  13. : ) I also won tickets to see Yuck tonight and Ra Ra Riot on Sunday.
  14. Nice! I just picked up a black copy at Graywhale and it came with two free tickets to their show this summer.
  15. That's pretty hardcore defending for a band you've listened to for less than 12 hours.
  16. Neat. If you want any recommendations, or want to meet up, let me know!
  17. I think all of them on this page were for sale. I don't remember seeing the space one though. I meant to get a good look on my way out, but it was super crowded around the merch area. http://smashingpumpkins.shop.bravadousa.com/Dept.aspx?cp=71737_71881
