Also, even though I waited in line for 8 hours (because it was limited to 900), I thought they were going to release more to the fans (based on the language of their February stay tuned email) but still waited in line to be sure I got one.  Hence standing in line over night.  I don't care that I won't have 1/900 or 1/1800 and will likely have 1/5,000 -- I just will be happy to have these remastered albums on vinyl. (That was the only goal originally - get the albums on vinyl.)  I'd never sell them, so the limited run is immaterial to me.

Now here's the part that's hard for me to explain and I'm not trying to come off as a dick but I'm only going to sell to people on the boards that are active and give something to this community. I want these to go to people who will actually listen and not throw them up on ebay so if you just joined this week, don't take it personal that I don't want to sell to you.

I have been told this by multiple people on the thread today while searching for purchases that I missed out on - so why can other people on the board do it and I can't? I only think it's fair that I do the same so I can afford other things that people are selling way above cost on the board. It's not like I am asking for ebay prices.

he's referring to the fact that third man has made it completely unnecessary to camp this year. If you have tickets, you're guaranteed a spot and all that, and if you don't have tickets, they said they are going to sell everyone who shows up a copy of the 7" and keep pressing them until everyone gets one. They even said the line for the show will not start before 7AM. 

It's all good, champ. Like I said, I hope you get your niece a record. These will be for sale on Mondo's site later this month. You've a better chance of getting one there than waiting for any of us who buy multiples to score two variants. Off topic: My Dad has rickets. Can someone hook me up with an original Maniac variant, please.

Why would you need help with this? Can't you buy a copy or two online like the rest of us? Can your niece only enjoy the RSD copy limited to 500? Can you not be bothered to go out on RSD and find a copy? It's not like Chicago has any huge indipendant record stores. Meh. Maybe you've moved. Maybe I'm just having a bad day. I hope you find your niece a record. Cheers.

This thread will be a catch all for news about RSD at 1-2-3-4 Go!. Over the next week or so we'll be announcing a few really cool, currently secret things. So stay tuned.
 
WHAT WE CAN SAY NOW:
 
We'll be open from 8am to at least 8pm. Last year people started lining up around 4:30am just to give you a heads up if you plan on coming for the opening.
 
We'll have coffee from Subrosa and donuts from Pepples while supplies last for those of you who line up early.
 
We are giving away a test pressing of the Green Day "Demolicious" 2xLP. The first 100 people in line will get a raffle ticket, Once the 100th person has handed in their ticket we'll do the drawing.
 
James Williamson of The Stooges will be doing a signing and chatting with fans from 10am to 11ish.
 
Hella Vegan Eats will be on hand making breakfast and lunch throughout the day. Not free but well worth it even if you're not vegan.
 
We'll be getting a couple of kegs from Linden Street Brewery and we'll be serving those to over 21 folks who stop by after noon.
 
Bands. There will be some, Announcements coming soon.
 
This is shaping up to be the biggest year ever and we're pretty excited about it. If you normally go to the bigger stores first, give us a try this year. Everyone who ends up coming later tells us they wished they hadn't wasted their time by going to the big stores first. We get great fills and it's not a nightmare down here.
