Links down now. That being said it doesn't sound that crazy different to me. Just faster and more energetic/raw.  Its not what I personally want from Citizen, but I'm down for something different on an EP to hold over until the LP drops.

Official music video drops tonight 

Having heard other songs off the album to provide context to the single, I'm all in. They should have led with another lead single, I agree, though. Love the production and artwork too. The artwork reminds me of Bear in Heaven's 'Beast Rest Forth Mouth' or something an LA goth rock band would put out.

Everything for me right now is leagues better than Gore.

I usually hate these long drawn out teases too but the fact that Deftones are engaging in it makes me believe that they are really really really stoked on this record

I'm with you. Feels like every videogame, movie, album has this long drawn out ARG puzzle marketing gimmick. Call of Duty and Batman are currently doing it, and people are sick of it by the comments.

According to the Spotify clues, the Deftones ARG ended today, so we should be getting a single and preorders in the coming days. Really excited.

So, if you AHA that new song it's identified as 'Urantia'. Named after The Urantia Book: a spiritual, philosophical, and religious book that originated in Chicago. If its being ID'd should be really close to an announcement. 

Unsubstantiated gossip time: There's another 3-5 songs that got out. Chino was the one to intentionally leak Urantia (and the others?) on a mixlr stream.

I will say that seeing the majority of Gore played live over the years has been a vastly different experience than listening to it digitally. My perception of the album has changed significantly, and I appreciate it way more now.

I've said it countless times; Chino can do no wrong. Every project he has been a part of has been quality. So excited for the new material.
