I don't understand why searching "vegan" or "anime" doesn't show the topic on the home page titled "vegan food"  or "anime nerds?" first.
 
If you click  sort by "title" which suggests it would do the right thing, does, well, god knows what.
 
The search imo is useless and I end up just loading hundreds of pages of posts and then cmd-f to find what I need.

Actually, if you go back and read, Fremer says: 
 
 The raw frequency deviation was significant at around ±.5% but once it was low pass filtered to remove record eccentricity induced wow it was down to very acceptable levels especially for a turntable at this low price.
 
So he also found frequency deviation to be significant, but it's strange that he measured around 0.5% off while the other reviewer measured closer to 0.75% deviation. Both measures got better after a low-pass filtered was applied -- but still speed accuracy is a step behind the Pro-Ject or Audio Technica.
 
But Fremer's review does note that the speed issues are "down to very acceptable levels especially for a turntable at this low price." I don't read that to mean it's absolutely speed accurate, but more like it's good for this $200 price range (ie Crosley).
 
No one is saying this is a bad turntable AT ALL. For the price, it completely blows away Crosley's. And I bet most people can't even notice 0.5% of speed deviation. There gets to the a point where objective measurements don't correlate to subjective listening anymore -- although it doees help to have data points out there to make informed decisions. My main point was that once you start getting to the Orbit Plus price level, you should absolutely cross-shop some of the more established competitors like the Pro-Ject or the Rega RP1. 
 
 
No, I agree it is misleading and the author seems to just want to brag about his equipment. I assume he had $30,000 worth of stereo equipment hooked up to the turntables, but his measurements were taken using an iOS app called Platter Speed. It's the same app that Michael Fremer used in his Analog Planet article as well to test turntable speed accuracy. 

The Enema of the State LPs look amazing. I just got a copy a few minutes ago.

That statement explains it all, you didn't start listening to them until after those albums came out. If you listened to them when TTTYG and FUTCT came out, I'm guessing you'd have a much greater appreciation for them (not that you can't go back and appreciate music, I just think that's what it is in this case).
 
 
And yes, absolutely! One of my favorite albums, love every song off of it.

Im probably in the minority here but I would love to get some of the Glee soundtracks pressed. That would an instant buy, especially the first two volumes

Just wanted to say, I stopped someone on twitter from buying a Crosley by pointing them to this thread.

talked to tyler and josh yesterday, they are excited for the release too.  asked about a FBR variant and they knew nothing about it or a hot topic variant.  seems like bands these days have no clue about their merch/vinyl at all.  great band though.

So I finally got the rest of these cleared so I figured I'd put this all in one thread. I'm pretty excited about all of these, they should be pretty cool. These will all be available in select Hot Topic stores and on www.hottopic.com. These street dates are all tenative. I'll update this thread as we get closer to each release and let you know if anything has changed. Don't ask about Dogs Eating Dogs, I have no idea if or when that will ever get pressed.
 
 
Take Off Your Pants and Jacket LP - Not too long ago Hot Topic had an exclusive pressing of TOYPAJ LP on clear vinyl with red, green and yellow splatter limited to 2000 copies. This sold out quite a while ago online but there's still some copies floating around Hot Topic stores.
 
Self-Titled 2xLP  - (there's already a thread for this one on here) clear vinyl with pink and green splatter with the smiley face logo etched on the D-side limited to 2000 copies. This one has been bumped back a couple weeks and should now be available around early December.Right now it's looking like a 12/24 street date.

When I listen to a record I pay attention and enjoy the music. When I listen to music on my computer, it becomes background noise.
