  1. must be something wrong with your ears or your copy and whoever else said the sound quality is lacking. Mine sounds fantastic.

  3. Why are people downvoting spinmeround's updated list of RSD titles??? that's what this thread is about, stop being assholes. it's not his fault you don't like what's available so far.
  4. Thanks for the picture. Love it and a little jealous. I'd love to meet Chino!
  5. I will for sure. Haven't used the rig tonight at all. Will probably get to it sometime tomorrow or Sunday.
  6. No wrong in it if it's something you can afford to do. And as long as it sounds good, of course.
  7. Hahaha, Sumerian fails. I don't think you're the first one to get 2 DL cards, while others, like myself, didn't get 1 DL card. hahaha... must have a bunch of mcdonald's workers doing their packaging for them at minimum wage. Judging from their shitty lineup of artists, they are probably hurting for money as such.
  8. For sure, I'd probably get in on a box set. Although Naveed was just "good" for me, I don't think they hit their stride until their sophmore Clumsy album. Then Happiness... and Spiritual Machines were both great as well. They kind of lost me after Spiritual Machines. Gravity had a couple of good tracks on it and I couldn't get into Healthy in Paranoid Times or the newest one from a couple years ago at all. I haven't heard Raine's solo album, didn't know he had one to be honest. I'm going to have to check that out.
  9. Yes, and hifi people always seem to be all for having as many separate devices as possible just because they like to have a ton of "gadgets". haha.
  10. A lot of people swear that using a stand-alone pre-amp is always superior to an onboard phono stage in an integrated amp. Most people believe you just get a cleaner sound. To be completely honest, I've never even tried the phono stage in my Rotel amp vs. my Azur stand-alone. Makes me curious. Perhaps I'll do some comparison with that over the weekend.
  11. I have a very similar setup. I've got the Cambridge Azur 551p pre-amp, a Rotel integrated amp coupled with the passive Audioengine P4s. The Audioengine speaks are definitely a great value for someone with a small room. Great sounding but lack a little in the bass department. A sub would help out a lot. I'm still trying to decide what I want to do with my turntable situation.
  12. Any of you ever see that movie "The Gift" with Cate Blanchett, Giovanni Ribisi and Keanu Reeves? I believe Tarot cards are what Cate's character uses to give people readings. And Keanu's god-awful southern accent cracks me up. Pretty good movie though overall.
  13. Ry - Torn Between Revolver and Rumors (I slit my wrists to this album in highschool, there was so much blood...) But seriously though... I vote for Pearl Jam's Ten.
  14. Logan said I had Earth/Fire hands but she leaned more toward Earth. You're not alone.
  15. I'd like to see ALL of the Our Lady Peace albums. Particularly Clumsy, Happiness..., and Spiritual Machines.
  16. The thing about people who buy a Crosley is that I get the feeling they think it sounds good, completely oblivious to what GOOD actually sounds like. In the world of music listeners you've got these types of people: 1. People that don't notice when something sounds like crap. 2. People that notice but don't care. 3. People that notice and DO care. Most people on this board are in that 3rd group, with here and there Crosley people that just don't know any better.
  17. Yep... totally a site for girls. They do have some pretty cool stuff though. For instance... I would like a turntable kitchen timer. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/kitchen-gadgets/beats-per-minute-kitchen-timer
  18. I think he's referring to how the pressing sounds. Lord knows there's plenty of lemons that get pressed. I think it's a great idea. I often look through the review on amazon too, looking for someone who bought the vinyl version of an album in hopes they will indicate the sound quality of it. I don't know any sites specifically dedicated to this purpose. One site I really like though is www.comparevinyl.com. Not always 100% accurate but it's a good source for trying to get the best price on an album, or just plain to see if it's available anywhere.
