That illustration was done for Mondo, yes? Considering Mondo teamed up with Disney (http://blog.mondotees.com/2014/01/31/oh-my-disney-and-mondo-present-nothings-impossible/), I think it's safe to assume the artists doing illustrations for Mondo had Disney's permission.

If you like your records so much, why the fuck would you let people draw all over the cover killing about 50% of the appeal of the damn thing?

If the people "drawing all over" the cover are the ones that made the music in the grooves, or created the art on the cover, I can see the appeal.

No, it was the print head. The lines needed to be flushed and the head needed to be cleaned. I think we got it fixed. Another thing that causes the banding is if one color is low on ink. Before I print any of the disney ones I'll make sure I have all new inks. I was working on the South Park 7" last night and was having trouble getting the color and brightness to match exactly. I let my friend mess around with it, he said he figured it out but I didnt get a chance to look at it. I'll let you guys know whats going on once I see it tonight after work.

Anyone here arguing that they are correct one way or another honestly can't say so for sure. No matter how they 'feel' about it.
 
 
The legality of reproducing what is essentially fan art for sale is murky at best and really would have to be taken on a case for case basis AND it ultimately comes down to whether or not the original content creator can prove that the 'infringing' work fails Fair Use under the balancing test:
 
 Fair use under United States law
1.1 Purpose and character 1.2 Nature of the copied work 1.3 Amount and substantiality 1.4 Effect upon work's value 1.5 Fair use and professional communities
  Also there's consideration about whether or not the work is derivative of the original and displays 'transformativeness'

I'm not too big on drama and pointless arguing. Take that shit somewhere else. We dont need a bunch of pointless bitching. I wrote the guy, we'll see what he says. At this point I dont give a shit what he says, I'd rather just use the lamp, rose, etc. idea. Way less headache. Arguing about the legality of using another persons art is one thing but attacking me personally and implying that the quality of my hard work is something a 2nd grader could do is another thing. You didnt buy a jacket from me so you have no fucking idea what youre talking about.

I'm gonna have to put a hold on taking any more requests for one offs. I got pretty flooded with messages over the weekend and I woke up to 7 new requests. I cant keep track of that many projects at once. I'm gonna go back through my messages and try to work on them one by one. I also want to put the Disney thing on hold since it started so much drama. For everyone who messaged me, I will try my best to get your request fulfilled but I might not respond to your message right away. I'll work on them in the order I received requests. Just dont send me anymore for now. Haha.
