  1. im having a great night. but the question at this hour is, to pizza or not to pizza.
  2. I think your speech will be great! Always good to teach another. If I had to give you any advice it might be to give a short history on vinyl - (why even use them; how did this medium come to be) Honestly, besides us fanatics, most people do not see the importance so it would be fruitful to bring the audience up to your speed. Unless you planned to include this in your "Demonstrate Importance" section.

  5. i would say i'm a staunch mod republican, but this whole situation has me pissed off at everyone in the govt right now. in no circumstance should the govt shut down unless congress and the higher executives are willing to forgo their paycheck that year. now, in regards to what the republicans are doing by defunding obamacare, whether or not you agree with it, I think it's a ballsy move to support a certain belief and position. but in no damn case should that shut down the govt. there should always be a final compromise. and if you want to debate the topic about the law, im so out of that one, haha. internet debates? nein.
  6. This may be a bit long but Ooh man I have been looking forward to posting in here. I was at the Hollywood Forever cem finale and it was so. fucking. cool. I got there several hours early and there were already like 250 people in front of me, but it wasn't a bad wait at all. Tons of people were dressed up. So many heisenberg shirts. These owners of a candy store in beverly hills were huge BB fans and they showed up dressed in hazmats with blue candy rock they passed out. So it was a fun time of people chatting about their love for the series. And then Aaron Paul drives by yelling YEAH BITCH and everyone went nuts. Inside there was this giant screen and a little VIP area in front of it where the cast and crew and their friends and fam were. Then the GA fan tickets were right behind that. So you could be a bit far from the screen but I happened to be front center. Huell was just walking around the fan area and passing out autographs. So he made it out guys! Aaron Paul and his wife came out to talk about the kind campaign which raised 1.8 million and then the pilot came on next. It was awesome being with the crew and cast and all these fans watching the pilot. People were yelling out jokes "Don't spend the money on strippers, Jesse!" and it was just a light hearted moment. The finale was a complete different story. No one made a sound beyond just reacting to the episode. Great experience. Afterwards we all screamed and stood for those involved. I'll post some photos if anyone wants it but just to add some perspective of what this was like, it kind of was the opposite of my expectations in a way. I thought it was going to be very fan centric, maybe that we could meet some of the cast. It took me a bit back to see this sectioned off VIP area and during the Kimmel Q&A the cast was a bit back and farther away than even the screen. And there was no booze and food. BUT, it wasn't disappointing to me. I got the impression that this event was truly for the cast and crew and they just allowed fans to witness it. It was touching. The actors and crew were catching up and hugging and truly excited to see each other and kind of revel in their hard-work. But they wanted fans to be a part of that. So I feel very lucky to have been there. It was incredible.

  9. First, Dave, super sorry for your loss. My brother's best friend, who was a second brother to me, was killed last year. So I know what it feels like to lose someone close to you so suddenly. It's not an easy ride but I found my priorities were put into perspective. Now, nothing really fazes me unless my friends or family are sick or hurt. And all his friends came together to celebrate his life instead of a complete association with sadness and a lot of us are now friends that never were. It's something we'd all trade to have him back, obviously, but us all being together keeps those jimmy stories well alive.
  10. Just read this in Denver's Westword - "Ever wondered why your parents are so f*cked up? Take a look at these bizarre classroom posters from the 1970s" http://www.westword.com/slideshow/30-bizarre-vintage-classroom-posters-40436685/#1
