im just curious how all of you stumbled upon vinyl collective.
i ended up finding them through an ebay auction...i bought the fear before art damage picture disc and then read in a newsletter thing about the etid box set coming and got so excited cause i was curious about when/if it owuld be released. then the great shipping price and selction of records kept me coming back
So we're being inundated with phone calls asking for status updates today. I would like to reiterate that we are two people processing all of these as quickly as possible and that all orders will be out by this time next week. Your orders are safe and sound and there isn't much to report other than we're packing them up as quickly as possible. Every time we have to stop to answer a phone call we have to step away from this process so please be patient. I'm sorry that 5 or 6 cancelations of two specific titles has set everyone in to panic mode but honestly everything is cool. Please don't freak out.

Can't really comment on any of the other Radiohead releases, but I just received my OK Computer from Amazon UK and it sounds leaps and bounds better than the Capitol reissue.
OK. I compared the two PDF files I got from the respective RSD websites. Errors, omissions, typos and mistakes are not my fault. There's some here that I'm surprised aren't getting a US release, so double check anything you want before asking for one of us foreigners to get it for you. Some of them I can't track down on the UK site; they're in the PDF but nowhere else.

PLACEBO 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS AND STREAMING SERVICES LAUNCH 10-02-2015
OVER THE NEXT 12 MONTHS PLACEBO WILL RE-RELEASE THEIR MILESTONE ALBUMS REMASTERED FOR THE FIRST TIME ON HIGH QUALITY VINYL VIA UNIVERSAL MUSIC
2016 marks 20 years since Placebo released their eponymous seminal first album. To mark the anniversary year the band are embarking on a two year period of celebratory retrospective activity.
For the first time Placebo’s entire back catalogue will be available on streaming services worldwide. From Monday 16th February, over the course of a week the band will release one album each day - rollout as follows:
Monday 16th February – Placebo
Tuesday 17th February – Without You I’m Nothing
Wednesday 18th February – Black Market Music
Thursday 19th February – Sleeping With Ghosts
Friday 20th February – Meds
Saturday 21st February – Battle For The Sun
Sunday 22nd February – Covers (Originally released on ‘Sleeping With Ghosts’ as a bonus disc)
As part of this rollout, Placebo are being profiled as part of the Deezer Elite UK launch, a section of Deezer that allows users a high-resolution audio streaming service.
The band’s self titled first album helped pave the way for a strong shift in British music acting as an antithesis to Britpop, inspiring a generation of bands to follow them. Placebo went on to claim their place in British music history with five top ten albums in the UK, collaborating with music legends including amongst others David Bowie, Robert Smith + Michael Stipe and playing sold out tours and festival headline slots across the globe.
Over the next twelve months Placebo will re-release their milestone albums, remastered for the first time on high quality 180 gr vinyl. The first release will be their debut album on very limited edition red vinyl, as part of Record Store Day celebrations on 18th April. More details of these re-releases and other catalogue activity, special events and exclusive archive material around the 20 Year anniversary will be announced in due course.

Now that Morrissey's deal with Harvest has come to an explosive end, with distribution of the album being pulled everywhere, can you confirm the final numbers of the Hot Press variant?
I'm assuming that a second press went ahead before the deal collapsed but there's no detail to separate the first press from the second; is that right?
Also, did that second press increase the total number of records to something greater than 1000, worldwide or was that 2nd press making up the numbers to the 1000?
Lastly, did HT even sell the full allocation of 1000 before the C&D order came down from Harvest? Are we looking at a situation where a ltd run of 1,000 was supposed to be sold but in fact, only 600 or so were produced and sold?

SO I know the 2004 Debut album by The Killers, Hot Fuss, was pressed onto vinyl and bootlegged several times, but does anybody know if it will POSSIBLY be officially repressed again??
We All Know, it Is a fantastic album (One of The Best Debut albums of the 2000's in my opinion) and I think HOT TOPIC or SHOP RADIO CAST should get a start on this.
All kidding aside, if a friendly stranger makes a drive to a shop & post office to get you a record you can't get yourself, why wouldn't you gladly throw in an extra $5-10?
I work for UO, for anyone who doesn't want to pay the $10 shipping, you can call (or go in) any Urban Outfitters store and order something online and get free shipping. If they have it in stock in the store, they can do a send sale. Make sure they have vinyl mailers first, or you'll get a record in a box. If they give you any trouble, hang up and call the Urban in Indianapolis.
With that said, I hate the cover. Why couldn't they have used the peyote photo?
