PO: King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Gumboot Soup
hxcoliver replied to ethereal's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
So this new album is pretty much leftover songs from the previous 4 correct? -
Yeah it gets to be a bit much, especially the last third. Which sucks because the music in that album is so wild and awesome. I fucking love the altered beast/altered me segment. So good! I’ll be one of the few (if not the only one) that likes this better than Brunswick. Not digging that album at all. Polygon is really awesome. Although I wish it had another song or two in the same vein as crumbling castle. Love the energy on that song, definitely the best song on the album for me

When did you see them? The first time I ever saw them was when bedlam came out. Wish I could’ve caught them during frances or amputechture. Deloused is so pricey still, even the MOV presses from a few years ago sell for about a hundred or more. Fucking ridiculous. There are literally thousands of copies out there

http://needlejuicerecords.com/product/polygondwanalandlp/ originally i had read this and it said 250, then someone mentioned they raised it to 500, now it’s saying there’s a 1000. A little weird, it’s be super fucking annoying if this was any other record, but considering there’s gonna be like 100 different versions of this, who cares how limited they are from one specific label or not. This is the cheapest option out there and it’s 180g hell of a deal. I’m probably going with the VC version and Greenway

I saw the first show here in vegas on the 29th. I got there just before he started playing/after the opening act, and was able to get that super cool tour variant. They had it laying flat for display and it looked black, I had to ask for it and it look like that in the light. It was $30 -

PO NOW: Death From Above 1979 - Outrage! Is Now

I thought the EXACT same thing when I first listened to it. Like a ghost level or something. But yeah, this album is extremely disappointing. There was like 1 or 2 decent songs, the rest I was not a fan of. The vocals really ruin a lot of them for me. I'd have to agree that this would be awesome as an instrumental or something, or different vocals. This sounds way too clean and poppy.. -

Does anyone here know of any information regarding a show on dec 11 at the pearl in Las Vegas? With tickets supposedly going on sale tomorrow? Cant find any info other than an article by the review journal, but no official word from them or on the venue's website or anything -

Shit, wasn't informed on who would be taking over. But I did assume it would be people they've played with before. I'm sure they're great musicians as well,l too. I'm still excited for the new album, and definitely look forward to catching them live. That news was very surprising to me -

It's true that it's more important that the whole band actually had a bigger input in the writing, but the live lineup is also important. I get sometime shit happens and 1 member can't tour and is replaced for a while or whatnot, but 2 out 4? That's a bit much. I want to see the killers, not other random dudes playing the killers songs -

What the shit!? So half the band will not be there? Then why even tour at all?
