  1. People still like them, right? http://www.avclub.com/articles/weve-got-an-exclusive-gaslight-anthem-track-for-yo,45497/
  2. I like that record, but nothing tops Division of Labor. I had no idea they were back together, that's awesome! Also, there's no chance in the American Nightmare LP being repressed. Not after those legal issues. Maybe Give up the Ghost repress instead? Codeseven is playing Orlando on October 22nd at House of Blues. I am all over that shit.
  3. They need to press some Codeseven. Seeing as how the band is back together, it wouldn't be that risky an investment. I would murder someone's grandma for The Rescue on vinyl.
  4. When they first opened, Mojo didn't hold a candle to Vinyl Fever. For the past several years, though, they've been the best record store in Florida. Daddy Kool is alright, but their new releases are waaay marked up.
  5. Archers of Loaf. They are the last of the big 90s alt-rock bands that aren't back together.
  6. Funny, the two bands I would've mentioned--aside from bands with deceased members--both announced reunion shows in the near future: The Dismemberment Plan and Codeseven. Aside from them, I would be all over some Murder City Devils or ATDI. Kid Dynamite, too. Oh yeah, Hot Snakes. Big time.
  7. More into comedy than music, but either is cool. Currently into "You Look Nice Today." Any others I should check out?
  8. You know whose name is hard to keep standardized? Ted Leo & The Pharmacists. I've gotten at least a dozen variations of that name from different places.
  9. ++My new band has 3 songs. Should be playing shows in a month +++My solo project has 4 songs. Should be playing shows in a month. + Since quitting smoking a month ago, I can now jog 3 miles without stopping. - I jogged three miles without stopping, then immediately went and played drums for 2 1/2 hours...my body is going to implode.
  10. Fantastic album. But I'd argue Bend, Break, Spill was their best release.
  11. I'll respond to your question with a question: Do you think "celebrities" are different from/better than real people?
  12. + It's my son's birthday today. I managed to spend the day with my wife and have a good time. I took cupcakes to his daycare and he went bonkers.
  13. Simple answer is that the kidnapper was looking for revenge because he thought the mother of Jax, the dude you mentioned, killed the kidnapper's son. She didn't, she was framed. The set-up and all the connections leading up to the kidnapping are so much more complex. This show and Breaking Bad are easily among the best shows on TV right now (and maybe of all time).
  14. i know! there wasn't a whole lot of action til the end, and then apefuckshit broke out. who thinks zobelle is behind the drive by? also, did anyone else think there was more commercial time than actual show? my cable provider had the episode at 75 minutes, but at least half was ads.
  15. --- Man, the band name I came up with is taken. (It was Terrordactyl). Dammit.
  16. I hadn't really decided on it until this week. I had been advised that there was no real benefit to go through with it immediately, since there are no real property or child visitation issues to settle, but now I'm thinking it's a necessity if I want to really get on with my life. Then there's the issue of cost...it's fucking expensive.
  17. I quit smoking using this: http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Way-Stop-Smok....3463467&sr=8 -1 It actually was really easy.
  18. Man, I'm really pissed that they waited so long to make the best of the '60s list. I mean, they should've done it like 30 years ago, amirite?
  19. I took my kid to see Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore today and there was a scene where the main dog said "Less talk, more rock." Also, there's been a rumor of a Propagandhi covers album for a loooong time. I would love to see that happen.
