  1. Codeseven--The Rescue Mogwai Engine Down Sparta--Wiretap Scars The Twilight Sad
  2. I have two projects; one band, one electronic solo. Neither have vocals yet. I could upload the demos if anyone is interested. What's a good site for uploading just audio? I don't want to make a myspace page or anything.
  3. For the most part that is true, but especially with Mushrooms you can see shit that doesn't exist and talk to shit that can't talk. See: http://www.shroomery.org/6255/Trip-Reports Most of the time you will just get light trails or color distortion and feel lighter/heavier. Huh, that's never happened to me and I've done a shit ton of mushrooms. Usually I just got that "breathing" effect where everything swells and shit. I believe that people probably do have experiences like you said, it's just I've encountered like 30 people who, holy shit what a coincidence, all saw little green people when they tripped.
  4. I'm fascinated by how many people say they tripped and insist they saw a little green man or a devil or thought they turned into an orange or a bicycle or a penis pump or whatver. That shit doesn't happen. If you hear a story with any of the above elements, punch that person because they are stupid.
  5. My buddy said their Orlando show was sub-par. Jeff's vocals were super low in the mix, but even worse, they only played four songs before blowing an amp and then quit. He did say they had copies of the Rescue for sale, though.
  6. WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?!? Why just the UK?
  7. This whole thing is stupid, joke or not. I do feel the need to point out that, if it's serious, the inclusion of The Rolling Stones is absolutely retarded. They've slayed more gash than anyone else has even been in the same room with.
  8. I don't know man. First, I didn't know there were others besides Fest. Secondly, they have a horrible reputation for not showing up at their shows, so I'm kind of hesitant if it involves a drive. EDIT: All shows require at least a 3 hour drive. Probably not going to happen. We'll see. They actually played in Lakeland once. If they Tampa I'll go
  9. Enter code HALLOWEEN20 for 20% off entire order. Valid through 11/01.
  10. Rad interview. I keep missing his readings every time he comes here. Going to make more of an effort next time.
  11. This thread title is very easy to misinterpret.
  12. + x 1b = My favorite album of all time, Codeseven--The Rescue is finally getting pressed.
  13. WTF? They're sold out? What kind of cruel joke is this?
  14. In the past, I may have mentioned that I would kill someone's grandmother for this album to be pressed. Now I don't have to...but I would step on a grandma's toe for $19.99. Know any bitchy grandma's? I'll take care of it. If you've never heard Codeseven, this album is brilliant and definitely the one I would recommend starting with. In the post-rock vein of Sparta, Cave-In, etc. Limited Edition of 500: http://codeseven.bigcartel.com/product/the-rescue-500-limited-edition-vinyl-12-inch-on-black
  15. I would get down with Neko Case. Also, I'm pretty sure if it came down to it, I'd gay off with Beck. Maura Davis from Denali: Leslie Hardy from Murder City Devils:
  16. I'm doing a cover of "Pets" by Porno for Pyros with my solo project. My full band is doing "Howl" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and "Dirty Leaves" by The Bronx. I played drums for a friend recently and we did "So Much Beauty in Dirt" by Modest Mouse, "Major Label Debut" by Broken Social Scene, "Peach, Plum, Pear" by Joanna Newsom, and a song I don't remember the name of. I think that show got recorded. I'll see about uploading some mp3s.
  17. If only there were a 7" series where bands covered each others' songs and then released them semi-regularly through a reputable subscription service.
