  1. Fair enough. I still feel they need to do more with their releases to get me on board. I like the direction they seem to be going with artist selections, just not impressed with the contents of the releases. It's targeted to the youthful hipnation. I'd gladly pay upfor a more interesting product, especially when they are doing reissues of OOP gems. Also, Menomena should have piloted this reissue. It's a crime to give such a great record a mediocre release. Glad more people get to spin it now though.
  2. Picked up the blue copy online today, surprised they still have copies available since I was so late. My vote goes for Incesticide next year.
  3. I'm the odd man out that was late on the release and wants this on orange single LP...can't find it anywhere. Edit:...for regular price.
  4. I never understood why they never released a 10" or 12" version of Wet and Rusting? When I first read about this VMP listing I kinda figured that would be the deal...the first (full) issue of the EP with the LP. Instead they send you a goodamn cover art print of a record that's not included in the release?! Just another reason I am thus far disappointed with this club.
  5. They posted a link on FB from Billboard saying they might make more music
  6. Found a copy of Live in SF at one of my locals yesterday. $28.50. Can't decide if I really need any more Ty, I got kinda tired after the last two LPs. There's no sticker either so no way to know if its clear or black.
  7. Why is this a 12"? Guess the remix is a long track? Shipping is way too much for two of the same track.
  8. Huge fan of this girl, can't wait for the new LP. Her last EP was GORGEOUS. Also I'm pretty sure she's still part of Bruce Peninsula, the band's just on hiatus (again). EDIT: new track! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGcYb6O5ItQ
  9. I picked up Moonrise on RSD 2012 I think it was, for $15. Had no idea it was so valuable. Great record. Can't wait for the Life Aquatic score. ChrisWithanF is dead right, Ping Island is the greatest track Devo never released.
  10. Yeah, my local has had a few Losers in the past. I picked up the Rose Windows edition last year, a full year after its street date. I guess that says more about Rose Windows than any independent record stores' ability to stock Losers.
  11. Just found this guy recently, seriously digging his stuff. But damn, $35 shipping to Canada, no thanks. Gonna see if my local store will bring it in
  12. fully agreed with this statement. mine finally arrived (in excellent shape) but as much as I love VD for this boot it burns me that it's not a single 12"
  13. Where'd you find this pic? Cause it's glorious. Looks like the same Mac Demarco style shit-hat that Ride's wearing in the Inanimate Sensation vid. Those instrumentals are seriously solid, great at the gym. But fuckdamn I want Jenny Death.
  14. That's rad you got a replacement. How'd you pull that off? As for the Best Buy copies it's gotta be the limited edition, the regular release is listed at $18 in the subpop shop
  15. Not sure, I imagine the pre-order is due to them overselling (as mentioned before they likely keep re-pressing as long as they are selling). I was a little late to this thread as I haven't visited here in a while, but I placed an order moments ago and got a confirmation notice already. I wouldn't' be surprised if the earlier orders like yours are already sent out, or just about to be.
  16. PO'd back in Nov. Can't wait for the demos, they're usually barebones "J.Tillman" versions of the album tracks, like the old days. The price was not a factor in this for me. Having snagged the Loser edition of LP1 last time for such a steal, it was a no-brainer. But I do agree, bring back the "Losers", the price is a wee steep
  17. I agree with Vic, there's got to be another plate-free release coming down the line, there's no way they would hold out to 900 on the demand for this record.
  18. I was super disappointed that they didn't have the LP for sale at the show last weekend. I guess I missed something along the way cause last I read they were ready to go for the tour. The merch girl was goddamn clueless too, I pointed out that they forgot to include Toronto on the tour poster and she's like "O.M.G. I, like, didn't even notice LOLLLLLL" At least the show was bananas. This album is made to be heard live, puts the record to shame
  19. I think the label mix ups before Antemasque coming out had a lot to do with the lack of recent ORL vinyl releases. I believe they started Nadie to get away from the now corporate controlled RLP moniker (which had all the monies to release all those records the past 7 years). That and the fact that O + C are friends again and reigniting their love of playing live together means he's distracted again. I read that Bosnian Rainbows LP2 would come out after the Antemasque LP1 run, then Antemasque LP2 would come after BRLP2, but by then we all know Omar will find something else to distract us with, like.... Omar said the other day on Triple J that they haven't given up hope on resuscitating the Volta for more releases down the line. This would also likely mean that Jon Theodore would return on drums considering Cedric has professed his regret for ever firing him and his admiration of Jon's contribution to the true Volta sound. I don't care about legacy, they ruined that with Noctourniquet...I want this.
  20. Brooklyn Vegan has a stream up, but I don't have time to listen through right now. I'll be buying the LP Friday nonetheless
