  2. jpc has the colored version now If you ordered OKNOTOK from them you should have a 20% off coupon by now in your inbox too. https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/arcade-fire-everything-now/hnum/7392077?lang=en
  3. I listened to the album in full a few times. It works very well as a whole and it goes smoothly from start to finish. Definitely a good one. Favorite tracks Put Your Money On Me, Electric Blue and Creature Comfort. I find Peter Pan and Chemistry to be decent tracks and I like the Everything Now outtakes and how they seem to loop seamlessly
  4. They could have issued this one in one of the 2 previous months' subs but nooooo It had to be Kevin Morby
  5. It is so annoying that they never sent a shipping confirmation for something that I paid $140 for. They did send me a download email for the 2CD version on June 23th at 12:01 am UK time though, but never one for the cassette. Thankfully I received my boxset yesterday.
  6. Yeah, the 15th is a safe date if you want to subscribe. They never delayed an announcement that far in a subscription month.
  7. I am mostly curious if the blue colors are matching or have any differences in the UK vs US versions
  8. Yeah I think that $40-$45 tops is what it is worth. Unfortunately I missed those price levels.
  9. OK so I received my Humanz Deluxe Art Book and Vinyl today and I must say that it was underwhelming. I feel that the money I paid were too much for this "deluxe" version. From the fact that the vinyl pockets and inner sleeves were plain red instead of having some artwork (picky again but for me it shows lack of effort and not an artistic approach) to the number of pages which were advertised as 54 and I am counting 26 including the blank ones at the front and back of the book. So in case you are on the fence getting this version I would suggest you to watch some of the unboxing videos on youtube, check the regular 2xLP pics on discogs and make up your minds. For me this release is certainly not worth the 85 Euros I spent. As far as it goes to the music, I waited till I have the records to spin them and I must say I am not disappointed by the songs. Exactly what I was hoping for.
  10. From TMR site here is the full description and the 7 components of the set Subscription Deadline: July 31 SIGN UP NOW Nigh on ten years ago, the White Stripes unveiled the most ambitious record of their career. Taking its name from the mis-appropriation of the British exhortation “Ecky thump” the Stripes’ Icky Thump would prove to be the final full-length studio album from the beloved Detroit duo. To celebrate not only the ten years since Icky Thump’s release, but also twenty years since Jack and Meg started the White Stripes AND the 500th release in the Third Man Records’ catalog, we are delighted to announce the release of our 33rd Vault package, Icky Thump X. 1. Deluxe Icky Thump 180-gram, colored vinyl The cornerstone of the package is the deluxe, “contained explosion” colored vinylrepressing of Icky Thump. Previously only ever available on boring black vinyl, this double LP, 180-gram vinyl dream is housed in a glorious tip-on sleeve with slightly modified artwork and sealed with a Victorian update on the original red/white sticker that was begrudgingly slit open by fidgety record collectors overly concerned with "condition." Remastered from the original 1” analog tapes in Nashville, TN, Icky Thump will be the first-ever Vault title manufactured at Third Man Pressing in Detroit. You will not believe your ears. Track List: Icky Thump You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You’re Told) 300 MPH Torrential Outpour Blues Conquest Bone Broke Prickly Thorn, But Sweetly Worn St. Andrew (This Battle Is In The Air) Little Cream Soda Rag & Bone I’m Slowly Turning Into You A Martyr For My Love For You Catch Hell Blues Effect & Cause 2. 12" Icky Thump Extras Vinyl The logical companion piece to Icky Thump is the collection compiling all nine of the non-album b-sides recorded for (and during) the release and tour cycle. Icky Thump Extras joins live covers (Hank Williams’ “Tennessee Border”), alternate versions recorded in the middle of a horse-racing track in Canada (“You Don’t Know What Love Is…”) with Beck-produced exclusives (“It’s My Fault For Being Famous”) and couples them with newly reimagined artwork from Grammy Award-winning designer Rob Jones. Consider this the first and last time any of these songs will appear on 12-inch vinyl, pressed on luminescent lunar-colored vinyl. Extras will also be manufactured at Third Man Pressing in Detroit. Track List: Tennessee Border (originally by Hank Williams) Baby Brother (originally by Bill Carter and the Rovin Gamblers) You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You’re Told) (frat rock version) A Martyr For My Love For You (acoustic version) It’s My Fault For Being Famous Cash Grab Complications On The Matter Honey, We Can’t Afford To Look This Cheap Conquest (acoustic mariachi version) Conquista (Spanish language version) 3. The Red Demos Prior to entering Blackbird Studios for the tracking of Icky Thump, the White Stripes did a full run-through of the tracks in demo form to workshop ideas and get thoughts on tape at their Nashville rehearsal spot. This would prove to be the ONLY time the band would ever demo an album before recording. Forgotten by all involved in the intervening ten years, The Red Demos is a startling insight into the germination of the songs that would soon be blasted out at arenas and festivals the world over. Of particular interest is the first ever release of the instrumental “Monkeys Have It Easy”, a title previously teased via the original Icky Thump press release in 2007. Cover art depicts a working mock-up of the unedited image used on the original album and exists as the ideal compliment to both that original issue and the mono mix of Icky Thump from Vault Package #1. The Red Demos will also be pressed at Third Man Pressing in Detroit. Track List: You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You’re Told) A Martyr For My Love For You Rag and Bone Catch Hell Blues Little Cream Soda Prickly Thorn, But Sweetly Worn Monkeys Have It Easy (previously unreleased) Bone Broke Icky Thump Conquest 300 MPH Torrential Outpour Blues 4. Exclusive Polaroid Photo Book To further push this package into “I Cannot Believe They Did That" territory is an exclusive book comprised of Polaroid photos, tracking notes and insight from Icky Thump session photographer and White Stripes’ confidante David Swanson. Comprised 100% of previously unseen and unshared material, the of-the-moment documentation of the album and its recording process by Swanson’s intuitive and discerning eye is revelatory. 5. Mystery Art Prints by Rob Jones To even further blow this thing out of the water is one of nine different 8x10 White Stripes images by Rob Jones. Randomly inserted so you have no idea which one you’ll get, these include classic updates on art and graphics from the original release era in addition to completely new ideas, all rendered in the highest quality silkscreen printing and suitable for immediate framing or burning. 6. "Rag and Bone" Enamel Pin Set Not enough? Ok, take TWO enamel pins that when combined depict the horse skeleton imagery originally featured on the 7-inch artwork for “Rag and Bone” and understand full well that the addition of said pins will elevate any drab old potato sack to a best-dressed list ensemble. 7. Cross of St. Andrew Soft Touch Box All of these components will be lovingly housed in a soft-touch coated telescoping box that reproduces the cross of St. Andrew used as an important graphic in Icky Thump’s issue ten years ago and rendered even more poignant now as the specific version of that cross (the Cross of Burgundy) forms the shape of an X.
  11. When the pack is a boxed edition it is announced before hand. This one comes in a box that contains all the items. They recently started putting the vinyl separated from printed sleeves too. Also, thanks @Kanye West for making a separate topic for his one. May I suggest a title edit? PO now: The White Stripes - Icky Thump 10th Anniversary Edition box set
  12. Yeah I understand I just thought that this release could attract more interest TMR has been doing a ton of things the past years that went far from Jack's projects and this definitely drove a lot of people away. I just thought that someone who would be interested in this release could see the title and click. I do that in VC. I am not following closely a lot of bands but I am checking all titles here for PO threads and clicked a few which I didnt know they were happening. Anyway it is not a big deal. In a more related note, I am anxiously waiting for my V32 to arrive. The LP was supposed to be 1x12" but ended up being 2xLP which was a nice surprise.
  13. This is weird but I just got email notifications from ttlab that 2 RSD2014 items are back in stock fun. 10" and paramore weirdly shaped vinyl Site is currently down though https://www.turntablelab.com/products/fun-point-and-light-vinyl-10-record-store-day-2014 http://turntablelab.com/products/paramore-aint-it-fun-vinyl-12-record-store-day-2014 Ooops I see that while I was replying this thread got revived for the same reason
  14. I am thinking that maybe the Icky Thump anniversary boxset might deserve its own thread? It is a seminal album that is getting a reissue on a pretty cool box set for a low price (shipped $60 USA, $70 Canada, $80 Rest of the World)
  15. I also see that they have an email notification thing I am thinking they might have more after the release and shipping of the ordered copies. Maybe you wanna try this one too. I dont know if it is working well though.
  16. While the US store is now sold out there are still copies available on the UK store. They went up the next day after the US store got them. Initially they were priced €26.99 (I dont know why but I now see that I was charged €26.09) but a couple of days later they went up to €37.99 http://thesoundofvinyl.com/*/*/Our-Love-To-Admire-10th-Anniversary-Clear-White-Smoke-Vinyl/5L320000000 Shipping to Greece was €10.61 Maybe it ll be similar for US addresses and if you are lucky they ll retract VAT because you are a US citizen.
  17. From the mail I got to promote the new song release. I know it is not a record but USB/fidget spinner sounds like a very interesting item!
  18. Me. TKOLB is the worst thing they ever released. I refuse to even rank it in a list of Radiohead albums. Pablo Honey is not too bad. It just cannot reach the musical genius levels of OKC, The Bends or (the best moments of Kid A-Amnesiac).
  19. New blue series 7" announced http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/2017/06/29/534810166/my-bubbas-spare-rumbling-jack-white-assisted-new-single-gone
  20. I ordered from SoV after I subscribed to their mailing list and got a 10% off coupon. Hope they pack well. Bummer that the colored version does not include the DVD :/
  21. I just finished listening to the unreleased and bside LP on blue vinyl and oh boy! What a day for me! It is my all time favorite album and I never thought I was gonna have a studio version of Man Of War. I am also happy to listen the bsides on vinyl as I never got the 12" singles and excited to find out that Pearly* is the RFD mix which I was hoping for.
