Pretty sure I only traded on here once. I ended up not being able to ship until like two days after the other guy did, but he was really cool about it. Communication is key, and definitely make sure they have some feedback.

My advice would be ask as many questions as possible. That way you know exactly what variant, etc. you are getting. If at any point the person seems shaky you can just back out.

Another deal, we both agreed to send them the same day. Then sent pictures of the receipts since it was out of country.
 
Basically the same as the trust game. But I haven't run into anyone bad!

I don't trade much. When I've done it though, I make sure it's someone who either has some "feedback" or can be backed up by someone else, at least here in VC. If I initiated the trade, I send first but usually the way it's worked out we send around the same time. 
 
Only one time ever did I get burnt on a trade and that was during the early days of the Revelation Trade Boards. I can't even remember what I was trading for now, but I sent the guy a copy of the Get Up Kids - Four Minute Mile on yellow. First press and somewhat rare. I never got anything in return. I believe the guy was in Belgium. 
 
Thankfully I was able to replace the record with an even more "rare" variant. Yellow w/ black wisps. Ha!

I don't, with one exception.  I have a copy on vinyl of anything that as been publicly accessible by The Chariot / '68.  For two reasons, I absolutely love Josh Scogin (the main artist/vocalist for both bands), and I want to do my part in showing that there is a market for The Chariot albums being pressed on vinyl that have not yet.  (it's a long shot, I know, but in the event that an opportunity arises the powers that be aren't going to do it unless there is a precedent that clearly shows it being a good investment)

I wasn't really impressed with it's sound but It wasn't terrible. Then again, I wasn't a fan of the production on the album anyways so it's hard to judge. Quite a few songs on the album that I really liked though. Meridional and Wrongdoers sound awesome on vinyl. I wish the others had been handled the same. 

It was better for sure, not noticeably bad anyway.  But I haven't listened to it since I upgraded my deck, so I could be off base...
