That's why I'm not surprised if SRC doesn't have to cancel their pre-order. I can just see people regretting jumping so quick on this and missing out on something else that they'd like more, or from a more reputable retailer. Wouldn't be the first time

So glad I read through this whole thread before breaking my "avoid SRC as much as possible" rule. I'll stick with waiting until the band/label does their thing. I'd love nothing more than to give them my money direct.

Line was all the way down the mall for Newbury so I tried my luck at the independent store... As predicted, they didn't even order it. There was just a bunch of mid-40s looking dudes going nuts over Bruce Springsteen and free donuts. Ah well.

I'm literally laying in bed right now debating if it would even be feasible to get one. I have two Newburys near me, both in malls, which don't open till 10 and I have no idea how people line up for that. Or there's one independent shop that doesn't carry anything post 1990s and I'm sure didn't even order this. This is why I don't do RSD.

No it wouldn't be correct at all, that is why no one says it... The plural of tape is tapes. Just like the plural of cassette is cassettes.

I really don't think you are understanding that it is a grammar issue and not about what the medium is, or no matter how the english language evolves, plural forms of words will not change. The plural form of deer will never be deers. The plural form of moose will never be mooses. The plural form of vinyl will not be vinyl(s). (Or in the case of that one poster, "vinyl's", possessive form.) Your tape analogy is incorrect. The plural form is tapes. You either have one tape, or multiple tapes. It doesn't matter that the tape is the medium, just like it doesn't matter that vinyl is the medium. To say "I bought some new vinyl" is fine. To say "I bought some new vinyl(s)" is incorrect. It's the internet. Are you really surprised people will point out other people's mistakes? Specially on a board where 90% of the posters do use correct grammar.

You didn't leave a word out, you are using the word vinyl incorrectly: If I said, "Hey guys I'm going to hunt some mooses today!" you really think someone wouldn't correct me? You've said it yourself that you are new to this, so don't be so defensive to some criticism. It's the internet! Deep breaths! Get a thicker skin. Now you know, and you won't hear crap about it again. One more tip: Don't bump old threads. If the last post in the thread was over a month ago, leave it be! And yes, discogs and ebay, and (rarely) here is where these will pop up. Just got to be patient and keep a look out!
