  1. I won last week's and was early on this week's. Two for two, fingers crossed.
  2. Thanks. Can you watch for side to side movement of your stylus? My black copy causes the needle to sway, because it's pressed off center.
  3. Speaking of War on Drugs, what's the consensus on sound quality for the VMP mint green variant of the last album? I've had 2 copies of the black variant and both are pressed off-center and sound pretty poor, mostly pitch shifted. No sound quality comments on Discogs about the mint green version.
  4. Just started listening to The Fragile. Using a Rega RP40 with Elys40 cart. Sounds incredible. It's pressed a tad quieter than some of my other LPs. The LP has almost no surface noise that I can tell, thus far. And I didn't wet wash before playing. Good mix overall, seems well balanced, nice bass but not overpowering. Album is punchy and dynamic. Everything is where it should be in the mix. You will be pleased.
  5. Received my copy of The Fragile today. It arrived in a standard Amazon style mailer. No bubblewrap, no cardboard inserts. I was actually surprised my jacket wasn't dinged up and creased because this package is quite heavy. I would imagine Sandbag is likely going to go through another round of jacket replacements for this release as well. I just got lucky today. The album was somewhat crammed in the mailer, so the spine of my jacket has a minor crease. Likely won't be a problem for those of you who ordered multiple titles at once. The vinyl comes in very nice poly sleeves, so no paper scuffs. It looks to be well pressed, though my copy might be slightly bowled. Hard to say. The cellophane was super tight on this release and paired with the compression from that mailer, it may have bowled the records. It definitely led to a bit of ring wear already. Nice full size lyric book included and some other reading material regarding the making of the album. Y'all will be pleased. Best of luck to all. Hope your copies arrive completely (or mostly) unscathed. It's been an 8 month wait for this reissue.
  6. Ordered the splatter from Amazon for $22.98 with Prime shipping.
  7. Ha! Mine was cracked too. WTH? I sent them photos of the crack and they are sending me a replacement.
  8. Yeah. My thoughts exactly. I saw the crack and immediately thought, "should have waited and ordered from Ghostly."
  9. Received my purple copy today from Kings Merch. Side A track 5 has a crack in it that spans into the run out grooves. That's a first for me. Just read their return/exchange policy: "We DO NOT issue replacements for cosmetic damages of any kind on records. We do not issue replacements or refunds for records shipped via Media Mail. " Mine shipped Media Mail. The mailer wasn't damaged at all. We will see how they respond to my email containing photos. I asked for a replacement.
  10. Has anyone received their replacement jacket yet for Deviations? Mine was supposed to ship last week. Just curious how they are shipping these and if they too are arriving damaged. Thanks.
  11. Let me know how it sounds when you receive it. I may buy another copy.
  12. Careful with these. Pressing is pretty awful. Lots of surface noise and warping. I've reached out to Magic Bullet with numerous emails for a replacement and they won't respond. Another local indie shop sent back their whole batch of this album to MB because every customer they had complained or tried to return the album due to pressing issues. Hope you get a clean copy, because I'm looking for one to. I'm stuck with one that is really badly warped.
  13. Great. I'll buy from my local then and skip the $7 shipping charge from ATO.
  14. Is the splatter the retail version? Anyone know? I don't feel like throwing $29.99 at a one LP album from ATO.
  15. Can you post photos of that CT Fairlight EP? Has the PVC sleeve off-gassed onto the orange vinyl? By that I mean, does the orange vinyl look dull or have what appears to be a film on it? Also leads to considerable surface noise. It's common with this release if it was housed it that clear PVC sleeve since purchase.
  16. Interesting. Wonder if Ghostly will redo the artwork, or just sell it in a generic cardboard sleeve like the original? I only paid $13 for a new copy when it was released. Probably worth a bit more with quality artwork/jacket.
  17. CLIPPERS works as a code at checkout. Brings it to just under $21 with free shipping.
  18. Thanks. Very short, but I like the flow of the album.
  19. Based on the track listing on the Amoeba page, it looks like there are only 5 songs on the album that are 3 min or longer. The remaining 7 tracks are short, many less than a minute long. I'm gonna stream on YouTube first because this barely seems like an "album". Haven't done the math but am wondering if this even clocks in over 30min.
  20. I'd be really interested to see VMPs data every month for number of new subscriptions vs swaps vs cancelations vs sales, etc. It's has to be erratic for 2017. Pertaining to this release, I bet there are a lot of cancelations and swaps. Diehard National fans likely already have the release, the 7inch is just future material yet to be released, and the variant is really quite boring. Imo, nothing worse than gray vinyl.
