Hey, sorry to bump a thread that's been dead for a minute, but... Anybody have any comments on the remaster? I'm still debating getting one of the anniversary presses, but if it sounds exactly the same I may continue to wait until I catch a sweet deal on one

Recently watched this too. I actually liked the abrupt cuts and changes in tone. The first act ended and my wife was like, "That's it?" I thought the comedic bits added to the horror and broke it up well. To each their own, of course. I had watched X the night before and it was VERY straightforward and predictable. I still really enjoyed it, great horror flick, but too heavy handed with foreshadowing and everything. I went into both movies knowing very little about either, and I liked the surprises and twists in Barbarian.

I'm 6'2" and had the same issue of being pretty thin into my mid-late 20s. A slightly longer large would do me in most cases now but lately my shoulders are a little tight in some larges. Seems to be the ones that the shoulders are too tight, the rest of it is stiff and overly large too, so that's fun.

I'm at a weird stage right now where I've put on a decent amount of muscle recently, but I can't quite make myself go up to xl shirts because they'll be super baggy, but my shoulders need some extra room and I need a little extra length with most brand shirts. Wore mediums as a teen/early 20s, went up to large for comfort as I got older, and now I'm stuck in between large and xl. Depends on the day what style shirt I prefer. I did get a shirt the other day that I straight up can't wear because you can pretty well see right through it. Wouldnt be much issue if i had no nipples and no tattoos, but...I do, so it was a waste.

Yeah, would have been nice if they'd sent these out to arrive on release, but they didn't so I'm not gonna stress. Green team!

So...here's my take on all this. I ordered the color I wanted when it popped up from the TSwift store. When the slightly lower prices started popping up other places I thought to myself, "Is $5 really worth the hassle this will probably be to cancel and re-order? Do i really need an autographed photo or whatever?" My answer was no. I'll get my Jade green when it comes in and be happy enough with it. Everybody is going to do their own thing, and make their own decisions for their own reasons, but I'm just trying to have fun in this hobby again because there was a while there where it definitely wasn't fun for me.

Honestly not the worst way to do it. Do you also do a rinse though? If not, do yourself a favor and get some distilled water to rinse and then wipe a second time with a different cloth.

For significantly older records I get this. I'm talking stuff that was produced when vinyl was THE format and a lot of time was put into making them sound good, AAA productions and whatnot. 80s forward I don't get it as much.

I'll likely still pick stuff up from time to time, but I've already slowed down a lot in the last few years. Out of my open orders currently I have 3 true new releases. - TSwift, LS Dunes, and Holy Fawn. It feels nice to be "caught up" I guess? Soon I'll be able to only focus on new/new to me stuff instead of picking up secondary market/overpriced represses of older stuff. Edit: I've been discovering a lot of old Japanese ambient stuff that is slowly getting reissued, but that's an expensive side of the hobby to really dive deeply into.

I hear that. I'm down to my final three "records from my teenage years that I 'have' to buy on vinyl," that I'm waiting for represses on. I have some other records that I'd pick up for the right price from my early twenties if they get repressed, but it's mostly stuff I still listen to at least semi-regularly as it is, and some classic punk/70s-90s stuff I'll grab when I find a deal on it. It's bittersweet to feel my collecting winding down, but more sweet than bitter honestly.
