Yeah, they were definitely playing on FOMO and misdirection with this. The overlap of fans with this band and Whirr who had in the past years also done incredibly limited pressings of an excellent album really pushed this over the edge too.

This right here. I took a gamble on a historically pretty baller band and it unfortunately didn't pan out the way I would have hoped. I've certainly wasted $50 on dumber shit in the past and likely will at some point in the future.

Yeah, this is why I don't always like those catch-all threads. Like...I'm not interested in a vast majority of punk/hardcore releases anymore, so I don't really frequent that thread, but sometimes stuff like this gets put in there and no one makes a post for it. The only place where I think it really worked well was the stoner/doom thread because its narrow and niche enough that if you see that thread and you're into it you click it.

If it's any consolation the albumnis only ok and really same-y in my opinion. My wife loves it though, but she does say the "bonus" tracks are some of her favorites.

Semi-related to this thread, Brooklyn Vegan allegedly has a couple Fugazi titles available that have been OOS on the Dischord site for a while and they're the same price (or less than) Dischord charges. Y'know. If anybody still needs them.

I totally get it. There are definitely things I feel this way about and I've been way more concerned about them in the past. I'm honestly a little surprised I'm not more bothered by it.
