  1. Haha, I used to go to this barn out in the middle of nowhere when I lived in Rochester and I bought sooooo many records from them. I don't think many people actually bought records from them, because it was mostly a barn full of like...barn stuff and house stuff, almost like a big flea market or garage sale. Anyway. They'd get records when they bought big lots of stuff, and I'd go out there and sift through vinyl for like...6 hours on a Saturday or whatever. I almost always went alone, otherwise people would get bored/too allergy-ed out and I'd have to leave before I was done. They charged $.50 per record or 3 for $1. I got BS- S/t, SBS, and NSD there, plus they always had really weird 12" singles and a lot of other sweet rock stuff. I got Technotronic - Pump Up the Jams, Salt 'n' Pepa - Push It, House of Pain - Jump around 7," all kinds of stupid stuff, but a bunch of other neat stuff too. I can't remember everything, but I'm sure I picked up so Nilsson, some Neil Young. You know, classic stuff.
  2. Nah not new, I finally couldn't live any longer without a 1st US press Master of Reality. It's the only one that I reeeeeally neeeeeded (that's supposed to be a faux-whine in case no one got it.) to have any more. Eventually I'll replace my copy of Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath with an olive label 1st press, though, but they're pretty cheap and easy to come by. Up until this point I've managed to snag: Black Sabbath (1st us, olive label), Paranoid (1st us, olive label), Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath (not sure press), and Never Say Die (not sure of press.) I paid $3.00 a while back at a store my buddy worked at for Paranoid, all the others I've gotten for less than $1 by being patient/lucky. Bummed to break my streak, but happy to have it.
  3. Well. It finally happened last night. I spent more than $3.00 on a Black Sabbath album, and I'm happy/pissed about it.
  4. Yikes. I can't see swinging $20+ on a single. Sorry, Sleep collection, you're not getting this one.
  5. That seems more reasonable. Yeah...fucking Jersey City. Fucking Bell Gardens.
  6. Not limited, he plans on keeping these albums in press.
  7. Yeah, I wish I could work out where I could combine stuff from the RC and the kickstarter, so I only got stuff I really wanted! I'd go for Peregrine, all three Whirr Records, all 3 BMSR records, maybe some Dreamend and Gramma's Boyfriend stuff.
  8. I'm going to grab Peregrine, Distressor, and Dandelion Gum probably to start and think about what else!
  9. So...none of you fine, young people would like to share what the email said for those of us who didn't get it?
  10. So I know the box sets are running low, but the individual albums are still going strong and "unlimited" correct?
  11. Even though it's kind of a bummer to "waste" your day like that though, when I actually do it all I feel reeeeeally good about myself. haha So you'll feel great tonight when you go see GotG! I may try to go to a matinee tomorrow when I get out of work.
  12. Nah, it's all written. I guess for the embalming exam sometimes they do a practical exam. I don't have to take that though because my national boards and doing my 35 for apprenticeship qualifies me. Luckily I already took and passed both national board exams!
  13. Oh...I don't get emails from them. Is it just and RC thing? Or can I sign up for email notifications on the site?
  14. Still waiting for amazon to drop the price. Does anyone remember if it was a little lower when they first announced it? It's at $39.99 on there now. I know it was in here somewhere, but I'm entirely too lazy to look. I think they were $35/per when I ordered...not sure though.
  15. Thanks! Luckily, if I didn't pass for whatever reason they're offering the test again in September instead of waiting the usual 6 months. So that's pretty nice. I'm pretty sure I passed though. It's just a weird test in general. They have a lot of questions that have to do with stuff that isn't my job. Stuff cemetery managers and pre-need insurance salesmen would need to know.
  16. I'll probably snag it. My problem with DLC is this: the way I buy games, I usually get them when they hit around $5-$10 used, so the DLC essentially doubles or triples the price I paid for the game! That said, I'll probably snag the Bioshock ones and also probably some from Dishonored, because that game also rules.
  17. I think so, I have to wait up to a month for them to mail me my results :/ Yay! Glad you made it. Glad you said dolla dolla bills. Was the whole Clan there? Even GZA?
