  1. I thought it was an OK episode. Tara isn't my favourite character. Even though it was short, I thought the best part was her returning at the end to find out what Negan did to the group. What I don't understand is how all these other groups have had run ins with the Saviours, but Alexandria didn't know about them before. Were they really that isolated?
  2. I was thinking about Scenery and Fish last week after the Matthew Good - Beautiful Midnight Revisited EP was announced. Super excited for this one too.
  3. I got shot down asking to combine shipping for Fight Club and Gremlins. To be fair, it does say in their FAQ that they won't hold records for future combination of shipping. Anyone else have any luck?
  4. Since there was some interested in the MGB reissues that came out earlier this year, I thought this was threadworthy for some people here. Matt Good announced this morning that he will be releasing reworked versions of five songs from Matthew Good Band's 1999 album "Beautiful Midnight" in a new EP fittingly titled "I Miss New Wave - Beautiful Midnight Revisited". Next year he'll be touring Canada and playing Beautiful Midnight live in its entirety. The five reworked songs on the EP are Suburbia, I Miss New Wave, Load Me Up, Let's Get it On and Born to Kill Amazon.ca it has the 10" black vinyl record out on December 2 for $19.63: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01MYM596X/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1479154396&sr=8-9&keywords=matthew+good+beautiful+midnight
  5. For anyone still looking for the blue/yellow variant, it's back up on the Kings Road Merch site. http://kingsroadmerch.com/john-k-samson/ I was able to order the coloured edition through a local shop (thanks June Records!) for about half the price of purchasing through KRM, so any Canadians may want to make a visit to their local and ask about it.
  6. I've been too busy lately to get out and check the shops. Has anyone in Toronto seen the coloured version in stock anywhere? Hoping I can still pick this up.
  7. Hmm. After the Gangsterville 12" on RSD, I'm kind of surprised to not see a Joe Strummer anthology on the list. I thought the EP was a teaser for the full release and I had figured it was coming for Black Friday RSD. Oh well.
  8. Nice! I'll have to make my rounds again. I assume the coloured version has a sticker on the front?
  9. I get the point that it divides the series into the pre and post Negan world, but to me the premiere still felt like it was the final stage of Rick losing control. By the end of the episode it was clear that they are now broken and will be following Negan's rules. That "end of the era of Rick" seems like a good point to close the season. We'd still all tune in to see how the group functions under Negan, if they'd try to regroup and attack, how the survivors deal with the fallout, etc... I think it does it a good job setting up what's coming. I guess it's just semantics if we consider the diverging point as the intro of Negan or the breaking of Rick.
  10. I noticed it was gone yesterday. My local store said they weren't able to order the coloured version either Hopefully I'm not SOL on this one.
  11. I think they could have made that episode the season finale without affecting the story at all. The cliffhanger looks even more unnecessary now.
  12. Oooh. Happy birthday to me. These guys already have pretty decent prices so this should be good. I assume the code is still good for in-store pick up.
  13. This is out tomorrow! I never did preorder the blue/yellow because I can't stomach the $20+ shipping cost. However, I see that the colour variant is up on the Fab distribution website; Does that mean there's a chance that brick and mortar record stores could have the coloured version?
  14. Though there hasn't really been a "leak", the Spoiling Dead Fans have been keeping tabs on which actors/actresses have been on set filming Season 7. It's fairly clear based on who hasn't been showing up, but I guess there is no guarantee until we see the actual show.
  15. HMV's website says that the yellow variant is exclusive to HMV. https://www.hmv.ca/en/Search/Details?sku=868925
  16. Now there are T-shirt bundles with the coloured vinyl, and the black version is cheaper than the blue/yellow.
  17. I am a huge JKS/Weakerthans fan and I know I'd regret sleeping on this, but $60 CAD is a tough pill to swallow. Shipping costs more than the record.
  18. Has any info about the blue/yellow variant been released (i.e if it's an online exclusive)? I can't remember if the white version of Provincial was in stores or not.
  19. Any white copies left? Looks like June Records still has white copies. And they're only $29.99.
  20. Nice. Also for Toronto folks, I see that Tiny Record Shop is also doing the "Live from A Moon Shaped Pool" thing as well. I assume they'll have some of the white variant as well.
  21. Wasn't being sarcastic. Homage is fine but I don't really see the connection.
  22. Wow, that RSD logo on the tote bag is a complete rip off of the old CBC logo.
  23. I'm gonna be busy with my son at swimming lessons in the morning, but if any of the kind Toronto VCer's would be able grab a Joe Strummer record for me it would be greatly appreciated.
