Hey Mo, if you're reading this - is international shipping on TLOU going to be a killer?

Sadly, yes. I don't know how to avoid this. It's over 4lbs, so if you know anything about international shipping using the post office, once it goes over 4Lbs, it becomes Priority shipping - which is killer costly.

Its something that if you guys have a creative solution to I would be willing to hear - meaning, obviously I want to help you guys out as best I can - if you have pals in the states who can ship to- or someone across the pond is willing to receive a few in bulk and can distribute...  I don't know what is the best solution, but be prepared, to have one single shipped is very pricey (this goes for Canada as well)

Welp, I know what I'm doing Friday. So it's a preorder that ships in Sept. Is it limited or we will print however many orders we get?

Every Pre-Order technically has a limit, as I eventually have to place an order for them  .

But if you order anytime over the weekend, you are totally in the clear.

Correct. All orders placed will be fulfilled. There was no oversell on this.

There are copies of this on Black vinyl that will be in record stores shortly - the color pressing was limited to 1,000 units

If this is limited to 1000 their system is not projecting that. I just added 30 million dollars worth of this release to my cart with no issue.

I can confirm that 1,000 were for sale. We had a setting checked that allows products to sell past their inventory - because what happens during these sales is people try adding all of the stock to their cart and it causes problems with inventory (people can't actually buy when people are carting inventory to figure out how many are left) 

Someone on Facebook asked if the Mondo drop would happen on the 30th and they said:

 

"Yep, on the 30th (based on UK time). The exact time and price is up to them"

Mondo will go up with them today at 6PM CST 

I am surprised Nightsatan went so quickly. I believe there were 500 allotted for North America so I'm guessing that means quite a few are still going to be turning up at local shops, etc.

We only got 75 copies. We might get some more, but I don't like selling what I don't have. But, yes, they should still be going to stores in the US

Sorry about the bug with The Guest. Still trying to figure out what happened there (I expect someone added every copy to their cart, so it stalled for a minute) but its fixed now.

Man, just saw this on Twitter. I hope it's real, April fool's got me tripping. My kids and I love the boxtrolls and that artwork/blue swirl is fantastic.

No April Fools, I swear. Unfortunate timing, as we wanted to announce this yesterday (to avoid such speculation) but stock didn't arrive until today. They are very beautiful in person. I'll take a photo with the LP and today's newspaper if you don't believe me 

I just wrote Charity again. Last contact was a month ago & she said they would ship the middle of March. We shall see...

Hey, we got the right color in and all customers should have been taken care of but if you still haven't received anything yet, please contact us again and we will sort you out. It is unfair if someone else gets a copy they order today and you still haven't received yours. I feel terrible if thats the case, but lets make it right!

Hahah, I wish I could get $5 shipping even once! Shipping for A Girl... alone this morning was $15 to Canada. Part of the reason why I decided not to buy.

Yeah, sadly international (even Canada) is seldom going to see a price decrease because the main problem is postage. Here in the states it will be media mail, but we can't do that to you terrific people of the north.

It will be in record stores in the future, so maybe you'll have better luck in April when your local shops carry it!

Its more in production than it previously was last month... if that helps at all, haha. Its in the pressing queue (which if you know anything about how the industry works means it could be at least 3-4 months before we have them - so temper your release date expectations)

It's true. There's something about shipping over $4-5 that is just stark and painful. I pay it sometimes, but I stick with $3.50ish media mail a lot. I've rarely had an issues.

the custom, frustration proof mailers are a part of that extra cost. I've paid the $4 shipping and gotten crap u-line mailers and almost would've rather paid the additional $1-$1.50 to have a stronger mailer. Ever ordered anything from Urban? I ordered like 5 records from them this week, and they all arrived in a different kind of mailer, all damaged in a different way... 

If 1 LP shipping was $5, like most labels, I'd buy twice as often.

TRYING to get there, but there's a lot of variables involved. Don't hold me to that exact number, but know that we are listening and trying to improve the shipping experience for everyone

haha. Well, i'll let you guys decide if they are "fancy", but they are definitely heavy duty. And we're trying to lower shipping even more (maybe even for 1-2LP shipping) but that's a work in progress

I don't think you can combine shipping for more than 3 records cause their mailers don't hold more than that.

We just got new boxes, and lowered pricing on shipping / handling after 2 records (should be $7 for 2, $12 for up to 4, and prices have gone down above that) we have new boxes that hold up to 8!

ive never combined shipping for mondo before, do you just e-mail them and the can put all the orders in one box? bummed to pay 14 bucks shipping on 4 records but what can you do?

We actually lowered pricing on combo record shipping. E-mail our customers service. They will be able to help you out! We got new heavy duty fancy boxes for multiple records and everything. Let me know how it works out, i'm curious to see how people enjoy the multi record purchasing experience so be honest!

The trailer looked okay. The reviews and ratings are pretty good. I'll probably watch it the next time I am alone and don't have to watch something my wife likes.

It'll be on Netflix in two weeks! Its great.

the way that Shopify works, typically if there are less than 10 on a limited item, it means they are basically already sold out... they are usually already all in peoples carts and slowly trickling out. It's misleading, but its some weird internal code to prevent overselling (which used to be a big problem on the 3D Cart system we used to use)
