Online sales of RSD releases
Punkrockcomicart replied to vinylmaus's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
My Scott Pilgrim arrived from Turntable Lab in perfect shape, they used a sturdy mailer, and it sounds great. I know a lot of people had issues with them but my experience was a good one. -

Three people arrive at the pearly gates at the same time. St. Peter is surprised, but goes on to explain to them that usually there's no wait, but unfortunately there's only one place ready to go, so the other two will have to wait until their places were ready. He says the only fair way to determine who gets in first is to have them recount their final day, and whoever had the worst day got in. The first man steps up. "I lived on the 25th floor of a high rise apartment, but worked across town, I just knew my wife was cheating on me, so I arranged to come home early to catch them. When I arrived home, I knew he was there. I could smell his cologne, so I tore the apartment up looking for him. When I came to the kitchen, I saw him hanging from the window. First I slammed the window, but he hung on, then I went at his fingers with a hammer, still he held on, finally I pushed my refrigerator out on top of him, but the cord wrapped around my leg and pulled me twenty five floors to my death." The second man steps up. "I'm a window washer by trade. While cleaning the thirtieth story of an apartment building, my scaffolding broke and I began to fall. I managed to grab hold of a window ledge on the twenty fifth floor, until some maniac slammed the window on my fingers. I didn't want to die, so I held on. Next he took a hammer to my fingers. While it was agony, I wanted to see my wife and kids again, so for them, I held on, until he pushed his fridge out on top of me, and I fell twenty five floors to my death." The third man steps up. " I was naked in this fridge, minding my own business...." -

Doesn't matter how long you leave it in there, it's still gonna be ice cold in the middle. -

I tried to spin a vanilla cruller, and it just sounded funny. I realized I forgot the adapter, so I jammed a Timbit in the middle, and it played flawlessly. -
Mislabels aren't particularly valuable. But oddities like Olsvik's CS&N album are. Now, if one side had been Cheap Trick, and the other Michael Jackson, I might have had something.

I have a greater than average love of the unexplained, but I am also a huge skeptic. Meaning I don't default to "It must be a ghost". This comes from an experience I had when I was a kid, where I saw orbs, shapes, and other weird shit all the time. Turned out I lived in an old house with a lot of lead paint, and carbon monoxide. And a transparent girl from the Victorian era, with forks in her eyes.

Live at Budokan is a phenomenal live album. But when it comes to Dylan, he's a better writer than a performer. I love most covers of his songs. As for me, here's the ones that really stick out: Metallica, really it's only Lars I can't stand, but I'm not that into metal to begin with. The only Led Zeppelin song I really like is Fool in the Rain. Nirvana. I get what they did for music, just don't care. I did have an eye out for this year's RSD 7" but only for potential tradebait. No luck finding it tho. Pink Floyd KISS AC/DC

They number records now? How about that. -
Neat find. I have an album that came in a Cheap Trick Dream Police sleeve. One side has a Dream Police label, the other has A label for Michael Jackson's Off the Wall. The album is actually Off the Wall.
