  1. Wasn't sure how I felt about the new track at first, but it's definitely growing on me. I had a few parts stuck in my head all night at work, chiefly the solo.
  2. New track is good, not disappointed with the prominent vocals like I thought I'd be. I'm in.
  3. I'm kind of disappointed with the drum production on the new single, the snare especially sounds pretty lifeless. I like how things sound a lot more in this live session compared to the studio version. As an aside, when I was younger I thought Stanier's tall crash gimmick was edgy and cool but now I just think it's impractical and a little silly. I guess it's okay though because he doesn't use it all that much. /curmudgeoning
  4. Torn between blue, pink, green. Leaning towards green, will probably have regrets no matter which I choose. Aahhh edit - went with green. Regrets be damned
  5. So wrecked that I'm going to miss the Portland date. Working in southern Oregon for the summer and am scheduled for Sunday. Tempted to drive the 6 hours to Seattle on Tuesday. Who knows when they'll be back stateside again.
  6. Not feeling the new single after one listen, maybe it'll grow on me. I liked Parallax enough, but I feel like things have been going downhill since Great Misdirect. Colors 4 lyfe
  7. There is some really good stuff in this album. I can already tell after listen #1 that I am going to enjoy this a lot more than AHBF. The title track is money and that Wasps riff has been floating around my head for a while now. I hope they make it stateside to tour this stuff soon, they are one of my favorite live acts.
  8. Spun this today and was very impressed. I never thought anything they did would come close to ATGHK/Frengers but this feels like it could potentially rival those after more listens. *jk nothing will touch ATGHK ever*
  9. Such a great album. Some of my favorite drum work in recent memory
  10. For anyone who missed out on this and doesn't want to wait for the repress, I can grab you a copy at the show in early March. PM me if interested.
  11. I'm hanging on to a shred of hope that they will have clear with them. At a Helms Alee show a few weeks ago I scored a Sleepwalking Sailors translucent lime green /300 while fully expecting it to be the more common black.
  12. I am expecting $25... $20 would be a very pleasant surprise. $30 would give me pause, but since the show is free I would pull the trigger.
  13. Hoping for a more wallet friendly price tag on the March mini-tour. It'd be rad if they had clear with them but I'm not holding my breath.
  14. I like the way you think. That would be something else... Can't wait to see what they end up doing. Hopefully we get some concrete release dates soon.
  15. Wow, can't believe I am just now hearing about this. I am deeply ashamed. I'll have to hit up that free show in Portland and snag the LP there. Edit: Just listened to Thorn In The Lion's Paw and am grinning like an idiot. Unbelievably good.
  16. Damn, those are sick. The splatter in particular is an eyegasm. I would have no complaints if they went in this direction.
  17. So much good stuff this year, Sargent House in particular is indeed bringing it hard. Looking forward to the new Mylets also. I'm holding off on the ASIWYFA for now. That new single sounds really good to my ears, but I'm still a bit wary after AHBF.. I didn't know Chelsea Wolfe was dropping an album this year. I was really into Pain Is Beauty for a while. Yet another release to look forward to. Haha, they could go in any direction for the Milk Mouth press. That cover is all over the map... I believe you mentioned owning Pink Magick, what color is that? I love the cover, hoping for a complementary slab of wax with the re-press.
