Absolutely love the beginner turntable thread. Thank you for the extensive info. I've been researching for an upgrade for a while now. I'm thinking of going for a used table for now, While researching tables in my range ($250), I found this: http://www.fluance.com/turntables Fluance now makes turntables. They have a $199 and $249 option. It's specs look great, but they are so new that I'd be hesitant to buy one. Has anyone heard of these before?

I moved to the area fairly recently. I am thinking of heading to the Dupont/Adams Morgan area next weekend to all the record stores and seeing if they have anything worth picking up. No car makes it hard to go to the yard sales unfortunately.

They need mix & match options for their pre-order merch. I get the most limited variant in the most expensive bundle idea = money, but I want the pins and the vinyl. Not all the other stuff.

Thanks for the advice guys. The one you suggested is just a little too far for me. I am pretty patient so I will keep checking online for it. Good to know about Pioneer as well. Was looking into their PL-30 Automatic and it's gotten horrible reviews. Same withe the Denon DP-300F. Those two are what I'm pretty much looking for. Something semi-automatic. Built in pre-amp isn't necessary considering I can get one for pretty cheap. But thanks for the help and advice, I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Hello, after reading the pinned post at the top of the page, I have decided to use my saved up money to buy a used turntable from Craigslist. I am in desperate need of an upgrade. The only problem is that I have no idea what some of these players are like. I have researched Amazon reviews on some of them, but I can't find any decent user reviews other than 1 star/5 star ridiculousness. I am northern VA area. Got my California copy of the splatter in the mail a couple of days ago. Splatter series = complete. That is until I realized I am missing EOTS on splatter. Hoping that comes around soon. Was so bummed to see I missed out.

I don't have this, but I've seen this on a collector page. Those releases are kinda cool, with the incorrect tracks. I've wanted to variant collect the TCTCU but there are so many haha.

In your opinion. I've personally never heard of Caspian, so I'm going into it with an open mind. I think it caught people off guard considering they used to normally tour with bands like devil wears prada, norma jean, etc.
