I sold something to coopadoop recently. A really nice guy; communication was super easy and he sent payment with no hassle at all. All around, he's a good dude!

Who was your first concert?
LowEndAutomatic replied to abovetheearth's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Bon Jovi and Cinderella on the Slippery When Wet tour. I think it was in 87; I was in fourth grade and my aunt took my best friend and me. My parents were not happy... -
I have a copy of Lift Your Burdens High on blue...

Best/Worst Show(s) You've Been To
LowEndAutomatic replied to turbobrando's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Some of the best/ most memorable shows would have to be: The Cure on Distingration tour in 1989- I was in seventh grade and begged my dad to take me. He sat the entire time and read the Wall Street Journal during the show, looking up occasionally to laugh at the crowd. My Bloody Valentine in 90 or 91- Such an amazing show, but by far, also the loudest one I've ever attended. Hot Water Music/ Jets to Brazil/ Four Hundred Years- I spent two hours waiting in line in freezing rain to see Jets to Brazil, but Hot Water Music blew me away. It was right around the time that Forever and Counting came out. Elliott Smith- He played a small bar called the Pontiac Grille in Philly right before Either/ Or came out. It seemed like he played forever. I also remember him playing a ton of Beatles covers. The recent Revival Tour date in Philly. Although I've seen all of their respective bands several times each, but watching and listening to Chuck Ragan, Tim Barry, Dave Hause and Brian Fallon sharing a stage together was pretty amazing. Worst shows include: The Cure a few years ago on their last US tour. Super boring and kind of sad; they were playing to a half empty arena. The Get Up Kids/ At the Drive In- I actually didn't get in to see ATDI (it was sold out), but a friend working the door got me in right before GUK started playing. There was a pretty big and bloody fight, the band had to stop playing after three or four songs and the police shut down the show. Rage Against the Machine at Lollapalooza in 93?- It was the show where they stood on stage naked for like twenty minutes with tape over their mouths and had written PMRC on their chests in protest. I saw them the week before and they were insane and I was super-excited to see them again. Biggest show I regret missing was Mineral, Jimmy Eat World and, I want to say, Sensefield at the Pontiac Grille in Philly. A ton of snow was predicted for that night and it only turned out to be an inch or two. The show went on, but friends of mine and I skipped it to go to a diner instead driving the ten minutes into the city. -

Got my copy on black as well... So good! Just out of curiousity, is the download code being sent out on the 19th? I think that's the official release date for these. -
FS: OLD Smashing Pumpkins t-shirt ('92)

Wow... That shirt totally brought me back like 20 years! I pretty much lived in that shirt and a Dinosaur Jr. shirt from the same era back then... -
what's the most you've ever spent on a record?
LowEndAutomatic replied to a topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm sorry, I think I only paid $100 for this; I replied from my phone today not realizing I'd already replied a while back... Anyway, thanks for the continued offer, but it's one that would be tough to let go. I just wish Workshop would have gone through and pressed it officially years ago. -

$125.00 for the Jazz June's The Medicine test press /10 and never officially released on vinyl. -

Not sure if this will help; I've thought about picking it up here for a while now, but I'm not the biggest fan of MerchNow's packaging... http://new.merchnow.com/products/65309 -
Solid guy... He pays quickly and is very easy to communicate with regarding sales! Help him out if you can...

Did your profile/username get all jacked up?
LowEndAutomatic replied to a topic in Everything Else Message Board
Originally, I couldn't log in with my original password so I had to set up a new one. Then, once I reset it, I could log in, but couldn't access anything in my profile or post... I had to send myself that confirmation thing like three times before I could actually access everything... I think changing my password messed something up. Anyway, it was sort of a hassle, but everything's all good now. -
PO: Dave Hause - Heavy Heart 7"
LowEndAutomatic replied to ozfacter's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Sorry to hear about the issues with the orange copies discussed above... My orange copy arrived along with the Heavy Heart anchor shirt for my girlfriend with no problems. I was actually kind of impressed with MerchNow's packaging; the 7" came in its own mailer inside of the polybag. The stuff I've purchased from them in the past has always been packaged pretty terribly. -
