tired of hearing this, because no, no, no, no. that is NOT the entire point of the show. if you think it is, then you're missing the point entirely. if you read the comics the show is supposed to be based on, it is intentionally the opposite of every zombie movie, which is what made it so compelling. it's focus is on the PEOPLE and how they interact and are forced to adapt under the conditions. the zombies are just incidental characters (and i use the word 'characters' loosely, because really they're more of a set piece than anything).
AMC obviously knows how to make good character driven programming, but they're trying to appease the 'MAKE THIS LIKE A CHEESY ZOMBIE MOVIE!!' people like you, AND the fans of the comics, who know how good the character centric plots were, and they're just not doing a good job of it.

There hasn't been a good show this whole season. That's why people are complaining. 90 minutes of garbage is not better than 45 minutes of entertainment.

I think all the filler brings the quality of the show down. I'd much rather watch a tight 45 minute episode than a longer one that seems to be padded needlessly. I don't see a normal length episode as less entertainment for me to watch, so much as less time where I'll be bored or frustrated. But everyone has a different opinion of what's entertaining and what they want out of a show in general. Some people like the longer episodes, I find them to be unnecessary.
