  1. That it's not 180g. That's pretty much it. I'm guessing both the yellow and retail black are 120-140g, and audiophile is 180g. That was the difference between IKSSE3 grey/peach and "audiophile"...color and gram.
  2. I see a way you could make these Ikea-ish. I'm struggling to find the word for them, but I remember having them on a desk years ago. So hopefully my crappy paint picture will make sense. It basically expands when you tighten it with a screwdriver to hold in place. Looking at my picture, the left two images would be before and after tightening. And the two boxes show the "holes" you would need in each piece of wood. So say you were joining the top platform with one of the sides. On the underside of the top piece of wood, you would have a hollowed out circle that fits the hardware in snug, along with an opening for the end to stick out and meet with the side piece. In the side piece, you'd have a hole drilled to match the end of the piece of hardware. You'd wedge the piece of hardware into the underside of the top piece, stick your side piece in by shoving the nub end of the hardware into the hole, then use a screwdriver to lock them in place. I'm a little surprised Ikea doesn't use them more, they are crazy stable and worked really well. Even easy to un-tighten, take apart and move, then re-assemble and retighten. Edit: just realized I still have the desk them. If this was too confusing I can take a picture of it later tonight.
  3. Still so torn on what class to start with first when I get home tonight...I have all day at work to decide lol. Anyone seen/played with the new hunter subclass yet? It's the most intriguing but when I primarily play for crucible, not sure the super is going hook me enough. The warlock seems awesome but I'm imagining it will take over as most played. Titan super seems cool but just not sure how unique it would feel versus gunslinger.
  4. That looks really incredible, he did an awesome job! Definitely a true craftsman.
  5. That was fun, and interesting as someone whose never looked at a single stat for my characters. Yay for top 1 or 2% of total crucible score on all 3 characters! And kind of shocked I was top 4% of IB kills and wins on my warlock, being that character only existed for 2 IB weekends.
  6. This is my exact dilemma. Bladedancer was my main before and I'm thinking I'm ready for a switch up on class, but torn between titan and warlock new subclasses.
  7. Alright let's get this hype train rolling again. Is there anything I should have been doing this week/tonight in prep for TTK launch? Little bummed out I have work tomorrow so I won't get to play at launchtonight, but I've already decided I'm not working the rest of the week and just binging video games. Can't wait to play with you all soon!
  8. I'm pretty sure it's not an actual bootleg record, it's an official press but there were two versions: "RSD" edit: probably better to just call it "Standard" now that it's been repressed (that included a screenplay and packaging with his face on it) and "Bootleg" (no screenplay and the packaging was just white with text on it).
  9. First off, what speakers are you looking at buying from them? I can probably refer you to someone else in the Phoenix area based on brand. If you're dead set on best buy, I've had some good run-ins with the guys at the magnolia center at Chandler Mall area. Demo some speakers, talk about how much you love them and lead them on like you're going to buy then, then bring up the question of stands or mounting. Ask what options they have, etc, then when they walk you around to the section and show you their options, say something like "these seem like they would work, but it really puts the speakers out of my budget now...might have to hold off and think a bit on how I'm going to make this work". At that point, if they have the margin to do it, they'll likely offer to make a deal on the stands.
  10. Eh...if you have one with a magnolia center nearby it's worth checking out, but they won't have any better pricing on speakers than a smaller local store. Go support one if you can. Best buy won't stock good stands if that's all you're looking for, that one you're better online shopping. I had a pair of Sanus stands for my old speaker that I got on ebay for like $25, worked great. I now have B&W's stands that my dealer threw in with my speaker purchase (all for the same price as best buy wanted for my 685 S2's). Is there any noticeable difference between them? I would say just barely, but not even close to $200 worth if I would have had to buy the B&W stands at retail.
  11. I bought it when it was out of stock on amazon months ago for just over $20 and they fulfilled it last week or the week before. It definitely comes with the screenplay.
  12. New? Most stands will run you about $200 I think for the name-brand manufacturer-suggested, like Wharfedale's, B&W's, etc. I'd expect to pay around $100 though for a good quality metal stand. And if you buy speakers new from an audio dealer, they'll usually throw the stands in for a good deal, like 50% off. Hell, even the magnolia centers at best buy have room to haggle. They tried throwing in a pair of the $50 (each, and for free) wall-mount shelves when I was demoing some speakers there.
  13. 25w should drive most bookshelf speakers unless you're trying to annoy your neighbors with your volume. Unless you're willing to spend decent money on stands (which I'm assuming not based on your speaker budget), your only real options are wall mount or a composite wood. I don't think you'll find metal stands for much under $100. Metal I think is the preferred, and then filled up with a dense material like sand or silver sand. But again, at your budget I think you're better getting stands that just work (look at ebay for Sanus brand), and if you have the spare income put them toward better speakers not better stands.
  14. And to side-rail this topic for just a minute. Derek, you were totally right about MGS5. Probably one of the best games I've played in a few years. Going to be really hard to put this one down without just intentionally burning myself out on it and playing nothing else. I'm not sure I've felt this hooked on a single-player story since Red Dead Redemption.
  15. Yeah it was $40 for me to do it through bungie's site.
  16. That's correct. Taken King stand-alone is digital only.
  17. Should add me, AdakiasX, I'm gud I swear Been taking a break until TTK but super excited to get back into it.
  18. The loop? I think he's in the loop just fine. We all are, except you. You're out of your fucking mind and dragging this thread through the dirt because you're just an immature cock who never learned how to grow up and act like an adult. Get the fuck out of here.
  19. Instead of locking a thread that actually has value, can we just ban the clearly mental patient who has no value added to a single post yet? Here's purely here for this topic, and apparently just to stir shit up.
  20. Massdrop is a great place for the SE215s, and they seem to redrop regularly. If I recall correctly they were $80.
  21. When I searched for it I saw this asked once in 2013 and never again - so here goes - Any chance ever of getting a QOTSA Songs for the Deaf repress? It's crazy when the boot market is tenfold in quantity as the originals, and even boots are going for $40+ easy.
  22. Keep an eye out for Planar 3's. You can probably find one for about what an RP1 goes for, and if in good shape, a much better buy. I love my P3. Something like this guy, but I'm not sure what cart is on it. http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649211570-rega-p3-turntable-wrb300-tonearm/
