  1. Much more experienced people than myself will chime in I'm sure, but here's my take on it. 1) The DC is a more consistent brand-name and one of the major "go-to" consideartions in an entry-level table. If you can afford it versus a U Turn without altering your budget too much, I would go for it. I haven't heard any major complaints on the U Turn, I think it's a very solid table and will do you well. 2) I was not a fan of the built in pre amp when I heard the USB table; I would avoid the USB version completely unless that is a must-have for you. There are a few choices, but if you're looking at spending THAT much on a preamp (almost as much as your table), you might as well future-proof yourself and get one that can support MM/MC; something like a cambridge 651p near the top of your budget, or a Emotiva XPS-1 at the bottom. Or if you don't care about MC and want tube, at the top of your budget is the Bellari VP130. I have no experience with the Bellari but have heard good things; I demo'd both the cambridge and emotiva and thought the $100 difference was well worth it, so I had a 651p for a while and loved it. 3) You won't find any reviews, it's brand new. As in, less than a month old (actually a week I think), new. 4) I like the sound of the grado blue, and most grado carts actually, definitely more of what you describe in your preferences. I personally find the 2M line of carts to be a little bass heavy and not clean punchy sound up until you get to the blue and bronze line, then too heavy again for me at the black. But a lot of people really like the 2M red. I'd suggest, if at all an option, just finding a local Pro-ject dealer and hearing it for yourself. Only your ears can decide which you prefer. I doubt you'll be able to demo a grado blue, but just do some research on what other's have said on their take; there are plenty of
  2. Not as good as Coheed's acoustic version of 'A Praise Chorus' Such a treat for them to play that at the last Neverender show.
  3. Ok but seriously, real talk here - you're in this for the wrong reasons. The minute you throw around words like invest and build value, you're barking up the wrong tree. Nobody knows what will go up in value, because nobody knows the future; if we could predict that we would all be financial investment managers and very wealthy. You get into records because you like listening to them, you like the music and the sound they produce, you like holding your favorite albums in your hand and having a physical copy of something, and you almost have an obsession. Don't get into records for an investment, get into them because you love them and expect to not get anything in return except a piece of happiness when you listen to them. Most of your collection will never appreciate in value, give up on that notion.
  4. You're very welcome. Have a great day!
  5. Very excited to see how this album sounds. Put in a pre-order for a copy; one test press left if anyone is a super fan!
  6. How long is hot cash? I have a HT+1 coupon I need to use before it expires soon! lol
  7. Anyone else not see any vinyl on their website? Any idea what's going on? I was finally able to get to the section and the only thing listed is that record player...
  8. "Nobody gives a damn who you are". Just wait, it will happen. Shit can be on the radio, fuck is what will be dubbed with damn, is what I was saying.
  9. Dub over the word "damn" and it's perfect. Coheed has done it plenty of times, hence the reason they were even on Rock Band and got popular to begin with.
  10. I went to an ultra-conservative mormon schools, so those of us 20 our of 3000 that weren't mormon banded to together, and were into the underground music, and "prided" ourselves on being into things the rest of the high school clique wasn't. So when all of the sudden Coheed blew up and people we hated for excluding us for being different were into our music, that was hard for teenage me to handle haha.
  11. Yeah, that's the song I meant. The music video was all over MTV at the time, and everyone I hated (good ol' teenager angst) was singing "GOOD EYE, SNIPER!!"
  12. Everyone needs to remember that every Coheed album HAS to have that one or two pop songs that are radio-ready. This is that song, and their hype song. It's the reason it was released so early, to generate radio and pop-culture hype for Coheed; it's a smart move. This is their "Blood Red Summer" of the album I hope. I like the song, it's not my favorite, but it reminds me a lot of Atlas. And the ending musical part leads me to believe the song after this is dark.
  13. And I finally got gally on my first IB match. Wow
  14. I'm down, I'll be on shortly. What's your PSN? Or just add me, AdakiasX
  15. Yeah I'm never running into issues with secondary ammo in crucible, and spawning with 0 ammo and having to regen before I can use icebreaker is way too obnoxious. If I'm using an exotic, patience and time is a headshot machine. But 99% of time I'm using either blackhammer, or a random sniper I have rolled with increased accuracy while being shot at and increased target acquisition. Would love to try rodeo instead of target acquisition but don't have that rolled yet.
  16. lol rooks, that was my thought as well...icebreaker in crucible?? Strange choice there...
  17. The purple looking red is kind of a bummer. Made me glad I didn't splurge and buy this; I already have the 2xLP on black and it sounds perfect. Hope these 10" sound just as good for you all. Such a shame they couldn't do another 2xLP to finally make this album "affordable".
  18. Selling some duplicates and albums I don't really listen to. All prices are PPD. Most of these, unless noted as sealed, have been opened and played just once or twice. Animals as Leaders - Joy of Motion (orange clear) $35 Cartel - Chroma (ETR) SEALED $25 SOLD Circa Survive - Descensus (yellow/black) SEALED $35 Circa Survive - Descensus (clear/blue/white H/T) SEALED $20 Dustin Kensrue - Please Come Home (ETR) $25 SOLD Mae - Destination B-sides (black w/ white splatter) - $17 Margot & The Nuclear So And So's - Tell Me More About Evil $20 Social Distortion - S/T (RSD 2015) - $25
  19. Because a year old release /2000 is so hard to get...
  20. I used to use the magic eraser until a buddy surprise hooked me up with a zerodust. Pretty eye-opening how bad the magic eraser was working for me (granted, I live in the dust bowl of AZ and have a dog, so my dust situation is out of control). I loved it so much I paid the favor forward and ordered a zerodust for another friend.
