You snarky piece of shit. Unnecessary. -
Need help with shipping a record to me in Texas from a local shop there that doesn’t sell or ship online. Please direct message me. Thanks!

I took a tape measure to it and sure enough, near where I'm noticing the tonearm jump, I find that the distance from the edge of the record to the edge just across the center hole is a little shorter than other places on the LP. Am I right in assuming I'd want to gently and slightly file on the edge where it's a bit short to make it match?

Thanks for all the replies! It's really bad - the 1st song does not track and skips in the same exact spot each time the LP spins around to that spot, making it unlistenable. There's no effect further in on the LP. This still sounds like it's off-center? I'll see if I can figure out which way I'd need to file it - any advice on figuring this out?

I have a record with no visible vertical warping (i.e. the needle does not bounce up & down), however on the first song on each side the needle moves back & forth toward and away from the center of the record very badly at a certain spot on the LP. I've examined the LP and cannot for the life of me see anything indicative of what's going on on the vinyl itself. Is there anything I can do to remove or alleviate this? Since it's not a vertical warp I'm assuming the gadgets I've seen for clamping and heating the warp would not help in this case. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Doesn't look like any versions of either are sold out to me. -
I'm starting to get to this point myself. And I own at least 1 version of every bit of music Mondo has released - in other words I'm obsessed and they've had me hook, line and sinker. Would I have bought the Boxtrolls LP if anyone else had released it? Of course not. Not saying it's not a good soundtrack, but I've never even spun it. So this year with them releasing on average >1 LP a week, and pricy LPs at that, without every single thing being something that I *must* have and some of them I would never even listen to, or at most spin 1 time, I'm starting to convince myself to let go. They're over saturating the market if you ask me. There's something to be said about making people hungry for your every release by not dropping so much stuff constantly, and being more selective about what you release. I know, who cares what I think, I'm not a Business major, and Mondo's sales will be just fine and continue to grow, but maybe I'm a canary in the coal mine. At least in terms of the market shifting from the diehard old school fans to a broader mass audience. I think there's danger in that as well - once this whole vinyl and soundtrack thing falls out of fashion, those folks will move on. And maybe I'm not looking at it clearly - there are plenty of soundtracks they've done all along the way that I don't listen to but own. I think it's the increased frequency of the releases that's really making it hit home for me at this point. I'll still buy the stuff they put out that I really dig, but think I'm letting go of jumping on every drop.

I already ordered directly from Young God and was regretting it a bit now seeing Amazon and Bull Moose prices, but the Young God store copy will be signed by M. Gira. Not normally that worried about that kind of thing but for the extra $8-9 why not?
