I think it's just the music he likes to make and listens to in his private life. The killers always had some kind of 80s vibe to them. Hot Fuss, Read my mind (not all of sams town)...day and age a little bit...and recently battle born...so after they released "shot at the night" it was pretty clear that his next solo thing would be heavy on the 80 side as well...and propably even more than ever before. But I know lots of people don't like that kind of stuff...at least not when its made today...i persoanlly love it

I'm looking for one of the 2004 Presses of "Hot Fuss"! According to discogs there are 4 different 2004-pressings: The Control Group with red foil lettering - limited to 100 The Control Group with silver foil lettering - limited to 3000 Lizard King - light blue vinyl - limited to 2000 Lizard King - blue vinyl I don't know if that's completely true so correct me if i'm wrong. I quite like the album, bought the white vinyl as well. But man, they could at least have included some sort of inner sleeve with lyrics or pics or something, its just a black sleeve with the vinyl hahaha...rediculous for 20 euros

I grew out of portnoy as well since he left. But he is a fantastic drummer and was one of the two heads of the band since the beginning...and propably it's even his fault that they decided to go in a more mainstreamy metal direction away from the progresssive stuff...but still: he made the concepts and the lyrical ideas for most of their good stuff.And like i said, it's like with all music..all opinion While you think octavarium is a bad album i think the concept, the execution, the songwriting and the producion are actually fucking amazing...DTs last good album in my opinion. On the other hand, even if i consider images and words to be one of the greatest albums of all time, i think that awake is a little bit of a letdown after such a sonic masterpiece. I talked to a few people about this who think awake is DTs best. I just don't seem to grow into it completely. Knowing that, there are obviosly completely different tastes. And thats just fine. There are people who like 'a dramatic turn of events' and 'self titled' more than their old stuff...and i don't understand that neither, but it's totally fine man!

I preordered from jpc.de and they shipped me the record on release day! However they updated the release date on the product page to 10th april...maybe MOV have not expected this much demand in the beginning and are now shipping the rest until that date

Ordered my copy but thankfully received mine last week, I wonder why the others are delayed...didn't MOV say this was an unlimited release?

Oh wow did you go there because of the video or randomly? Pretty cool either way! I like the song, but not as much as i liked crossfire when i first heard it...or runaways. But I love the fact that he continued that 80s style from battle born and shot at the night, hope the record does that as well. I guess 'can't deny my love' has to grow on me a little bit...but thats okay, looking forward to the album!

Best cover choice in my opinion. Just depicts the vastness of both sound and visuals in the movie very well. plus it just adds up to the "go further" aspect of the movie, so i'm really happy they picked that cover! Can't wait to spin this, been waiting for this to come out on vinyl since i saw this in the theater for the first time!

There it is...beautiful. Sounds good as well! Glad they did a single-lp gatefold like with his debut, thought it came with a mp3 code and boom there's a cd of the album as well! Very nice!

Man....this album is fucking AWESOME...i wanted to wait until i get the lp but couldn't resist after i heard the b side from 'ballad of the mighty i' for the first time today...you can listen to the album for free on itunes by the way! Am listening to it for the 4th time right now, this is just pure masterclass man, can't wait to spin this!
