  1. But when they did that in Sunbather it was a very smooth transition. Maybe it is a bridge to track 2, but in the single version, even the piano fades out, indicating that it's disconnected from Luna. Unless on the album version maybe it won't fade out, idk.
  2. Found out they have a webstore. I assume they ship all around the US. Check out their awesome prices: http://sistersinchrist.space/ EDIT: They actually ship their records anywhere.
  3. Strongly recommend you guys give this album a shot, even if jazz isn't usually your thing. Yeah, this album is a great way to get into jazz.
  4. That's what I was wondering. The only 3xLP I've purchased was $49.99 before shipping if I remember correctly. I wasn't sure what a good 3xLP price was (I knew $49.99 was a pretty bad price).
  5. Ugggghh I've been waiting for this since its release.. Idk if I'm in a good position to pull a $40 trigger. Edit: I'm a dumbass, it's Amazon. They don't charge until it ships.
  6. I caved. The 30s preview of Luna was really awesome, especially the end -- really excited to hear that track. Baby Blue's preview didn't really show anything special.
  7. The more I listen to the track, I get more used to the solo, but the more that fade out just irks me. It's mainly that it completely fades out, then piano comes in -- rather abruptly. It's so disconnected, when -- to me -- the piano melody's relation to the preceding guitar riff almost demands a smoother segue. And the fact that it's the first track kinda seems unpromising. Seems like a very odd way to end the opener of an album. Idk. I'm super excited to hear the rest, and I still have confidence, I just... I hope I don't have qualms like this throughout the remainder of the tracks.
  8. Ugh, $50 per record? Please just release them separately, Disney. Not that Disney has always priced their vinyl fairly.
  9. Yeah, the sound on this album so far seems to be very distinguished from Sunbather (though it's still the Deafheaven we're acquainted with). I totally understand not being psyched by this track. I'm eagerly awaiting to hear it in full, nonetheless. Hopefully guitar leads will be better.
  10. I really dig the whole track, but I can see why fans of Sunbather wouldn't dig it. To me, the main drawback on the track is that guitar melody/solo. I did not like the guitar tone, and the melody didn't really fit for me... Maybe it'll grow on me. As a big fan of all different types of metal, I'm really excited for this release. Though I thought the segue from the ending to the piano could've been more of a musical transition, the piano part was nice, and the song was excellent.
  11. Just went here for the first time today, 4920 Freret St., it's called Sisters in Christ. They seem to specialize in underground-type stuff, but I saw some more popular artists like GY!BE, Sufjan Stevens, Deafheaven. They have a lot of metal, punk, noise, local (they even have a section dedicated to Waxwork releases -- if someone wants Starry Eyes they had it there for relatively cheap), and some post-rock. The best part is the price, though. From what I could tell, all records were sealed, and the average price was between $10-$15, for LPs! Lift Your Skinny Fists was $16. Really cool workers there, they know a lot about the music they have. They also do cassettes, I don't think I saw CDs there. There was also a section dedicated to 10"s, but it was pretty modest. I used to defaultly go to the Mushroom, but I'll definitely be going here from now on.
  12. Still upset that Atmosphere's first LP was never pressed in full.
  13. To those that dig TLOU, listen to Gustavo Santoalalla's (sp?) album Camino. Don't think it's been pressed, unfortunately. :/
  14. Wait, what's with this rough trade stuff? FKA Twigs hasn't posted anything about it, and Young Turks' website still says "12" soon."
  15. Man, November? Oh well. This EP is crazy good, I can wait.
  16. Has anyone actually gotten an e-mail from Deafheaven? I subscribed to it but you'd think they'd send out an e-mail for both the pre-orders and the tour. Just seems strange to me.
  17. All these variants but still no single.......
  18. Babadook might be an interesting release with glow-in-the dark liquid.
  19. But it also says "only 200 pieces for Germany," which was a detail of the alternate art, correct? It's also €28.90, which I think someone said that was the price earlier in the thread. (This is what I'm referring to)
  20. Was totally gonna go for the alternate cover they have there... But shipping to the US is €20, so the total ends up ~$50 USD, and I already spent about that much on the Juturna 3xLP, so.. not gonna happen.
  21. Texas dates are on the weekend... Sooo tempting....
  22. Another tour with no New Orleans dates during the Fall Semester. v_v
