  1. I beat Mark of the Ninja and played through the Walking Dead 400 Days DLC. Both were very good, although my interest was severely waning with MotN. It could have been a couple of levels shorter since the gameplay was relatively static. I also did a playthrough of Sid Meier's Pirates!
  2. I've got a ringside ticket to the Raw after Hell in a Cell! So pumped!
  3. I just dove into a Philip K. Dick anthology of his later novels.
  4. Can anyone shed some light for me on some resources that will help me pick out a brand that is relatively ethical in its production? I've been buying fair trade for awhile but the more research I do, the more it seems corporations are pocketing the money by capitalizing on ideals. I realize the majority of imports are probably made at the expense of people in third world countries but since I drink coffee every day it seems like something I could educate myself on to make a small difference.
  5. One time my friend from out of town came up for our annual wine challenge. We were having a lot of trouble finding a bottle of Night Train. While I was at work that day he drove around town and managed to score a bottle at a creepy gas station! Sounds great, right? It gets better. We went to Taco Bell before the challenge and it had one of those games where if you spin a coin down to the bottom platform you get a free taco. He dropped a dime in and wouldn't you know it, it just settled nicely onto that bottom platform with no manipulation required. The cashier not only gave him a free taco but she gave me one as well. I know you are thinking this can't get any better but believe you me, it does. As the coup de grace on unluckiness, we went to Publix to get some pre game snacks. Full variety cheesecakes were on sale for $6.99! What a steal. When we went to ring up though, it was pricing at $12.99. However, at Publix they have a rule that if something rings up at a price different than advertised, you get get that item for free. It was the best and luckiest day ever.
  6. Climbers is great. I assume the album will be as well.
  7. New Humble Bundle. Get Fez if you haven't played it. Best game of the last five years. Trine is also great and I've heard good things about Mark of the Ninja. https://www.humblebundle.com/
  8. This is what I thought the first time I played it but when I picked it up again about a year later I fell in love with it. You just have to get into the mindset of setting goals for yourself such as some material you want to find or produce or something you want to build. Once you get into a groove it can be really rewarding and exciting. I play on PC though. From what I understand the xbox version is a little dumbed down and not as good.
  9. My pumpkin recs: Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin and Pumpking.
  10. If they would just press every Now That's What I Call Music I would have all popular music, which is great by proxy, in one place and I would never have to worry about singles or listening to entire, stupid albums.
  11. Nice! The Sun Also Rises is my favorite book. It made me realize that humanity hasn't changed all that much in the past century and I found it oddly comforting.
  12. Kafka on the Shore is really great. I will probably go back and reread at some point because it is kinda tough to wrap your head around.
  13. Absolutely one of the best groups of dudes around and this album is great to boot!
  14. Derek isn't going to screw anyone over. On top of being a good dude, he plays in a huge touring band so it wouldn't exactly be a good move to screw people over across the country.
  15. Here's a pic of the 'starburst' from the 2nd press. It's not what it's supposed to look like but it's pretty neat.
  16. I assume it's just to prevent the flame accidentally going out. It would be super embarrassing and ruin a whole segment/match if they fucked up that intro.
  17. Not really. I don't know why I'm responding because AlexH said everything really that needs to be said, and did so very well. The difference between conservative Christians being intolerant and 'religious intolerance' is huge. The conservative Christian sect, who is the most vocal and nationally recognized sect, seeks to legally enforce their morals upon people who don't agree with them. While doing this, they are also using a harmful, hateful rhetoric which in turn influences more hate. The people that you think are 'persecuting' Christians are simply saying that they aren't going to stand for that kind of rhetoric and refuse to have others' beliefs imposed on them. They aren't trying to limit the personal freedoms of any Christians that want to go to church in the same way conservative Christians wish to limit the personal freedoms of those they disagree with.
  18. Damn. It's been a long time since I heard anything about this band. I can't believe they are still kickin'.
