  1. Missed the splatter, but nabbed the colour in colour. Happy with that.
  2. They played that track in Sydney. Was pretty great live, particularly when you know it is a new song and you are on the edge of your seat not knowing what riff is coming next. Probably in for both. I mean, its RC! Am I right?
  3. Pretty good turn out in Australia when they were here last, at least in Sydney.
  4. Unpopular opinion: I like the mix. To me the vocals are part of the band and not necessarily the focal point. And I think it works. Also, this album is a banger.
  5. Frack. Looks like they are out of /100 variant.
  6. I can confirm all of this. The new Russian Circles song was spectacular too, they played at least one song from each record and they tended to be the bangers. Oh boy, I really like the new We Lost the Sea stuff.
  7. I love latitudes. Still getting used to teh new digs. I've listened to it through 5 times or so now, I think It'll continue to grow on me. But i was disappointed my first time through. Crimea isn't comparable to Departure Songs. But I'd put on Crimea before Departure songs everyday and I like Departure Songs. Although when I reach for We Lost the Sea, it is 95% of the time for TQPOE or Crimea, as I started listening to We Lost the Sea before Departure songs and has probably deluded my opinion, so take it with lots of salt.
  8. Thought I was in. Then saw it was 173 euros, that's like $275 Aussie bucks. Can't justify that at all.
  9. Now I want to listen because you like it so much. But that description just doesn't sound like my cup of tea. Will give it a spin this weekend.
  10. Ran a search for this on VC and didn't find a hit. But if this has already been posted, apologies. Came across Kosatka on bandcamp, from my old neck of the woods. It was released a few months ago. Pretty good, still need to listen to it in earnest though. Basically it is one guy making post-metal.
  11. Yes! I'll be ordering with the quickness. I loved forever becoming.
  12. Thanks for posting. I love this fricking band. Old Sunlight is so flipping good.
  13. You got that right. That Faltre record great. Still on regular rotation. Plus the packaging is stellar.
  14. I had to miss those QPOE shows. I tried so hard to go but commitments made it impossible. Glad you enjoyed it, pretty jealous of you though.
  15. Oh hell yeah. Russian circles and We Lost the Sea in Sydney! New material for both. April can't get here fast enough. Might go to Melbourne to see the line up twice.
  16. The obvious ones for me are Russian Circles and Pelican (both already mentioned). But i'm also pumped for the new Latitudes and Glaciers. I think both are finished recording. Latitudes's last record is still on heavy rotation for me and have been jonesing for a new one. And Glaciers just scratch an itch for me.
  17. Holy shit. I might be able to own them.
  18. Sorry man, my mistake. Misspelled it, gumbo got it right: Girih. Bandcamp here.
  19. Has anyone spent time with that new Girih record? I think it's great. When the heavy starts, the guitars have a real dirty tone. I've listened 4 times over the last few days. Think I'll have to get it on vinyl (over at a thousand arms).
  20. She was in Red Sparowes. Listened to the record today. She's fricking great.
  21. Yeah, totally jumped at the opportunity. So happy to get one at normal retail.
