I play in another band that doesn't have a name yet and is still looking for a drummer and I may start playing drums for another band. We'll see...
  2. This. If they go under I'm going to try and get as much stuff as I can on clearance.
  3. I came here to post this. They put out so much good stuff and a lot of it still needs to get reissued.
  4. Fuck! I wish I could have snagged that Young Livers' record at that price.
  5. I love spectacles, but I can't see myself shelling out that kind of dough to see them play crap. Plus, a 3 hour set is just bloated. Take the stage, play the hits and a few album tracks for the real fans, leave after 90 minutes tops. You're not Bruce Springsteen, you're Green Day. I back this. I watched them at Lollapalooza and it was fucking terrible. Every song becomes a huge session of them pandering to the crowd ("Say Hey-o!" about a million times) and it seems like they never even finish most of the songs they play because they get so distracted with doing these ridiculous audience participation things in the bridge of every song. It was cool that they played some old stuff like "Paper Lanters" and "2,000 Light Years Away" but when they start doing the whole arena rock thing in those songs (which they did) it feels misplaced and ruins the music.
  6. I thought the census stuff was pretty funny. I liked it a lot. I agree with some of the above posters about the set-ups being a bit long. However, it seemed like everything you were pulling from experience wise had a lot of unique perspective in it. With more practice I think you can build an awesome set.
  7. Fuck, I would love to own both of these. I probably don't have the cash to do so.
  8. I know there's a lot of crazy Converge completists on this board and if someone really wants a copy of the /150 I'll entertain trade offers. It would have to involve me getting a copy of Jane Doe though. I love having this record, but I know a ton of people are way more into collecting these guys than I am.
  9. Very nice / congrats. Not that I care all too much about which color I wind up with, but do you mind if I ask when you placed your order? Tre made it sound like it wasn't a first come; first serve deal... but more like a sporadic distribution. Just interested. I don't remember exacty, but I know it was pretty early on. I randomly was on Deathwish's site, saw it had gone up and ordered it, so I may have been one of the first to actually order. I was pretty surprised to see it when I got it.
  10. Why's that? I'm not 100% sure what it was intended to look like, but my copy is an opaque gold/yellow color with lots of red streaking going on.
  11. Personally, I like the way Deathwish handles their webstore. I've never had an issue with them and they seem to keep us way more updated about upcoming releases and delays than any other label. With that said, this release is fucking astounding. It was definitely worth the wait. Also, I'm fairly certain I got one of the red/gold out of 150. Pretty stoked!
  12. I really want that Jane Doe hoodie, but I should not spend that kind of money right now. Damnit!
  13. We've talked about doing something this winter as well. Either the east coast or some of the southern states. I'll keep you posted!
  14. Hey there! My band the Burbs is going on a super small tour the end of this week. It was supposed to be a week long but four of the shows fell through so we're left with a three date Midwest tour. If you're in the area I'd love to see you come out! Dantheeverythingontheplanetfan is coming along too! He'll be selling our merch (which he designed) and taking pictures and shit. Here's the dates that are actually happening: Thursday, July 29th. Springfield, IL @ The Black Sheep 1320 South 11th Street. Show at 7pm. Four other bands, $5 Friday, July 30th. Hamtramck, MI @ Paychecks Lounge 2932 Caniff. Show at 9pm. Four other bands $5 Saturday, July 31st. Hammond, IN @ Eli's Pub 6729 Kennedy Ave. 21+, show starts at 9pm. Five other bands (including the debut of my hockey themed thrash metal band) $5 If you can make it, that would be awesome!
  15. Congrats! I'm majoring in journalism now and hope to be able to amass a good amount of freelance clips by the time I'm done to make a decent resume.
  16. People should really jump on this. There's some great stuff in there!
  17. Indeed! I figured it would be more fun to leave a little mystery as to what exactly they were.
  18. Go to No Idea's website. Search "Hot Water Music". You'll notice a couple things that weren't there earlier.
