  1. Yeah, I'm on my second listen and I can't believe how much I've missed Bill's music. These songs are a breath of fresh air.
  2. FYI, the Japanese edition of the CD release is out there, and it includes 2 bonus tracks--Rylan live at KEXP (great version) and the film score.
  3. I haven't seen it, the Discogs listings are pretty bare, but those should get very detailed in the next few days.
  4. I don't have a link, but I have definitely seen it around the normal sort of places.
  5. I would have to imagine we're looking at next Tuesday/Wednesday. I'm also hoping the LPs arrive a tiny bit early, although, if I remember correctly, the SWB LPs arrived a few days late.
  6. CD includes stereoscopic glasses so you can, like, really see the artwork, man.
  7. Try iScrobble. I posted about it in this thread 3 years ago and I'm still using it daily on my Macbook.
  8. I went to a Borders at the mall to buy this when it came out, which is a crazy specific memory--Chuck Palahniuk's "Haunted" came out the same day, which is why I was browsing CDs at a bookstore. Another weird NIN-centric memory is that Year Zero was the last album I bought on CD.
  9. Imagine the feeling you'd get if you woke up to a thread titled: "PO SOON: NINE INCH NAILS - 'WITH TEETH' ::DEFINITIVE EDITION::" And then the first post in the thread just said: "Pre-order date TBA"
  10. First new album from Bill Callahan in 6 years. https://www.dragcity.com/products/shepherd-in-a-sheepskin-vest Shepherd's Welcome 2:22 Black Dog on the Beach 2:30 Angela 2:47 The Ballad of The Hulk 4:04 Writing 3:06 Morning is My Godmother 2:10 747 3:26 Watch Me Get Married 3:10 Young Icarus 2:48 Released 2:22 What Comes After Certainty 3:42 Confederate Jasmine 3:40 Call Me Anything 2:26 Son of the Sea 4:13 Camels 2:59 Circles 2:28 When We Let Go 2:17 Lonesome Valley 4:16 Tugboats and Tumbleweeds 4:12 The Beast 4:37
  11. TBF, the hype sticker doesn't mention Hairpin Turns. But unless the label or back cover lists it as an alternate version, I dunno where that user is getting the info.
  12. According to Discogs, the version of Hairpin Turns on the single is different from the album version. Not sure if it lists that on the sleeve, mine hasn't arrived yet.
  13. The "Please play this song for X..." threads have gotten ridiculous at the Pit come tour time, and the last few years they have multiplied exponentially because the band has actually responded to them.
  14. Who in their right mind would pick the Tully sigil? (Besides, I assume, some very very intense Blackfish fans--but that's not even what he wore!)
  15. Minor drama at my local store, as the guy who usually does the orders wasn't involved in the process this year. People were asking him about certain titles and he just kept shurgging his shoulders and saying, "Sorry." I think the only way I was affected was the lack of Broken Social Scene (I was sixth in line--only arrived 20 minutes before doors opened--and didn't see a copy, unless someone in front of me got it very quickly). Also no Robyn or Bird and the Bee (although they were further down my list). Walked out with Pearl Jam (they had plenty of copies), Green River (1 copy), and Tweedy (a handful of copies). Not a bad year, but spent way less than RSD or BF last year.
  16. Email list just came through, tweet should be up soon: 20% off everything in-store tomorrow and Sunday. Nowhere close to years past. Got my hopes up.
  17. This sale is always just in-store. Here is last year's announcement tweet: https://twitter.com/newburycomics/status/982234849837629448
  18. Probably Friday, but sometimes it's announced day-of. I will see you there.
